Don't move here. True, you won't have a mold problem, but nothing grows here, not even humans. It's become so oppressively hot here over the last few years. It's miserable. The family will be relocating to Wisconsin next year. I've lived in the Phoenix area most of my life and it's just become unbearable anymore. I get hot above 80 degrees, so I'm hot here about 10 months out of the year. I can't tell you how much I hate this place anymore.

I like warm weather, and I would rather have a few hot months and the rest good then the weather here, its hot and SUPER humid and then 6 months you won't see the sun and its super cold and snow and ice, wind, etc. The climate here totally sucks and so do the taxes, lol.

Im done with here, Id rather have it hot, Ive been there several times, I know its hot and I like the desert type stuff, no grass, etc. everything is brown and dead here for 6 months at least anyways plus you have to take care of all that shit, no thanks, just give me some sand and rocks.

Im not exactly sure where yet, but somewhere in the southwest in a few years is my plan, not right in phoenix, too much concrete jungle

where in WI? thats going to be a climate and culture shock, hope you like mosquitos , HA

Best months for weather here are December and January, IMO. Going to the Madison area. I have family there and I’ve been there before. I will gladly fend off mosquitoes and shovel some snow, as opposed to being stuck in 115 degree heat for months on end. Everything looks dead here because it is. Plus, I won’t miss scorpions in my home or rattlesnakes outside of it.

ya, there is record setting heat right now a lot of places, as a matter of fact, we just set a global record yesterday I think.

Ive read that Tucson is usually 5-10 cooler than phoenix and cools down at night a touch while phoenix does not.

I was looking around the outskirts a touch as one idea.

I have golfed in 105 and it felt fine , way better than here when its 90 with a dew point 70+

there isnt anywhere that is perfect for weather all year round except San Diego, and no thanks on that for many reasons.

Trading mold-inducing humidity for clearcoat destroying extreme UVs. :) Pick ya poison. :rofl:Unless you're talking about Flagstaff / Sedona (it's beautiful).

I'll wave to you as we pass each other, headed in the opposite direction. Kidding aside. Good luck with the move!

Going to check out Summerhaven pretty soon. Gonna have a suspension shop install all my shit I have for the Stang, then take her on some twisties in the mountains.

All, first place I’ve visited that I would actually moving to. Really like Tucson, yeah it does cool considerably at night. Like the beautiful trails they have all around to walk or jog. Even though it’s been like 105, my wife was dying though. Lol I’m used to extreme temps, hot or cold. Although I can be a premadonna at times when Im relaxing.

ya, lol, not sure where yet, but not here anymore.

not seeing the sun for months on end and not being able to do shit outside (even early or late after the sun) really blows. and humidity is just a no go anymore for me, I can't stand it. the dew point was 80 the other day with 17 tornados, I was sitting in my basement waiting for my house to take me to OZ.

but, Im totally flexible on where, lots of research to do, it may not even be AZ, but I like it there.

I like these averages though, Im fine with a few months of super heat, Ill float around my pool with my high pressure misting system, HA

hell, we just derailed the OP big time, oooppps.

To add content to OPs thread. White vinegar is great at killing mold and keeping it from coming back. Just have to be carful it does not stain the finish of the surface. Not to sure how vinegar effect a painted surface. I’d be sure to clean surface after treating it with the vinegar.

I’m in the Phoenix area. Yuma, eww. Nothing but heat and vegetable farms down there. But, back to topic, not much for mold here.

Vinegar works and add some dishwashing liquid , rinse and repeat several times . Clean , clay bar and wax . Mold can’t grow without a media to grow in! Don’t get the vinegar / soup mix on your interior . It will stain !

Be careful what you wish for. I just got back from Phoenix, AZ this afternoon. I drove a Budget moving truck from Seattle to Phoenix for the past two days, helping a friend move. He said that Seattle was too warm for him. It was something like 111 degrees where i was in Phoenix yesterday. Right now i’m back in seattle basking in 72 degree weather.

As for that mildew, i’d just pressure wash it off then go at it with a wash mitt.

I missed your posting on where you didn’t want to locate to.
I’ve only been to the hot spots in arizona, so i automatically assume that the whole state’s thermostat is set at 103 degrees.

Not making light of ANY heat but I was in Arizona a couple summers ago and everyone was talking how hot it was. It was 106 one particular day. Hot I guess but, yeah, I'd take it over our 96 anyday!

hell ya, it just doesn't hit the same as our high dew point heat.

I was out there and played golf in 104, felt great to me.

its 85 with a dew point 75-80 here and you want to die, sticky as all hell and drains the life out of me, and thats not the worst it gets and you guys its even worse, ugh
