I ended up ordering the new Condor Overlander RTT. That’s the one with the footprint of the Condor but the aluminum case of the Falcon. I spoke torn them and they are in process of making accessories for the new Overlander including crossbars and insulation kits..

I'm torn between that and the Condor XL. Still debating. I was originally sold on the XL because of the space inside, but the durability of the overlander and the fact that it fits right over a CrewMax bed is suuuuper tempting. Life priorities have kinda changed too, so I don't think I need all the space in the XL either. It's less expensive and bigger though... round and round my brain goes! :goingcrazy:

I was in the same debate. However the case alone is what threw me towards the Overlander.
    • Durable aluminum
    • Only 10” in height
    • Flat top
    • Accessory channels
    • Fits perfectly on my mid height rack and short bed
    • Fits in my garage (barely)

I think that's where I will wind up as well. I've just drooled over the XL for so long that I almost feel like I'm being unfaithful.

@memario1214 hooked me up with morimoto headlights. He didn't have to but he did it anyway and I am very grateful for that. Shows you the type of person he is.

Unless there is some kind of catastrophic failure I don't see how I can not be happy with it. You mentioned that they were working toward an insulation kit for it and that wound up being the deciding factor over the Condor XL for me. I would have loved the extra space, but it's I was always a little jealous of the iKamper Skycamp 2.0 having an insulation layer accessory option. If they offered that for the XL I probably would have stuck with it, but the fact that they are developing it for the aluminum overland so soon after release makes me doubt the bigger tent will ever get one. Either way, I think I'm gonna love having it.

They said they were working on the insulation kit now. The cross bars are done and currently in field testing. If you watch the promotional video for the Overlander, you’ll see that the tent has the cross bars on it.
