    Having had both the Rigids and the SS3 Pros, the Rigid output was marginally less than the SS3 Pro. To the point it was hard to tell a difference between them. The SS3s put light over a large area, but the Rigids light had a better cutoff and denser light is the area it lit.

    SS3s are better value wise, they're cheaper on sale and do put out more light. The only thing that would keep me from doing the SS3 pros again though, was that they use the stock fog mount. That mount is crap. It wiggles stock, you have to secure it with zip ties. Once that's done the SS3s are a real challenge to get aimed right, in fact most peoples posts on here actually show they're angled in a V pattern. If you look at pics around this site you will notice how the light is higher on the furthest edges of the dispersion.

    Hopefully wont upset anyone here, just stating my experience with both. The Rigids with theyre mounts are more stable, give a better cutoff with a easily adjustable output. The also seem to project further, think more of a driving light with the width of fogs.


    The SS3s appear to be ever so slightly brighter, but with theyre angled mounting they tend to have hot and cold spots, so some parts of your FOV will be a little dim.

    The Rigids with mounts are about 430 if you buy them from reputable places.
    The SS3 Pros are 320, so yes a better value if you can overlook some small issues.

    I hope so. I emailed them earlier in the year to see if they were having a sale for the holiday (cant remember which one) and they said they were having a hard time keeping stock so they weren't going to. Maybe its better now. I was planning on finishing off my black-out.
