That they were in a competitive situation, what else could they do to help.

Smart. But put those charges on a rewards credit card & pay it off every month & you get the bonus of rewards points, which equals cash.

This! I charge everything possible to the credit card, pay it off every month, get $7-800 a year in cash back. Plus I just had someone charge $1400 to my card, called to dispute it, they credited it back and are issuing a new card number, no money disappeared from my back account. I use a credit card as a buffer to my bank account as well since I deal with identity/credit theft every other year lately.

    I know this.
    It is a rewards card.

    Bank of America
    Discover
    American Express &
    PayPal all offer rewards debit.
Some offer better programs than their credit cards because then you have a checking account with them.
PayPal’s is the easiest with no minimum checking requirements.

I use it for my personal and business.
    Works out good that way.

Points for groceries to gas to materials to brass.

Going to Sarasota with rewards for Christmas!

YES!!! My annual ski trips require 4 flight tickets each year, averaging 600-800 per ticket depending on where we go. I think I have paid for maybe 2-3 tickets over the past 10 years, thanks to my Capital One Venture card. I used to use a Delta rewards card, but Delta either does not fly into some of the places we ski, or their prices are too high. Not to mention that using Delta skymiles is a HUGE pain that always wastes a lot of time and increases my BP way too much.

I have a Cap One too. It’s only 2%. Dude you must be putting a ton on that card every year to get that many tickets free lol. Did you find a way to put your mortgage payment on there ;)

PayPal has some of the best cash back terms out there. Debit or credit.

    2X miles per dollar spent.
I forgot that they also pay for my Global Entry to get through the TSA line (and customs when needed) MUCH faster.

Nice I didn't know that about Global Entry. Yeah, the 2x miles per dollar spent comes out to 2% of charges. I had a Cap One card for years before they started Venture, so I wasn't able to get in on that awesome 100k bonus miles. Still pretty good program. Do you have an Amazon Chase card? That thing is fantastic if you make a lot of purchases on Amazon - 5% cash back on everything from Amazon (or Whole Foods). I do subscribe & save for a bunch of stuff - 15% off most of it. Then another 5% off using that card.

I do a lot of Amazon buying and have a few Subscribe and Save items. But if I split my reward card usage it will affect how much I spend for my flights. I don't have the mortgage on the card but I do have several of my bills on it. And all my subscriptions, and I paid my $5k down payment on my truck with it (that was the max they would allow). Several thousand dollars per month makes the miles add up pretty quickly.
