Sounds like a nice deal considering all the extras. I’d start at $85k.

    LS3 motor I’m sure.

@Baja Mike probably has details on this truck.

Nope, that's a real deal Tundra. Before he signed with Toyota he had a Dodge Ram he did pretty much the same thing with. Turned it into a "street prerunner".

I saw this Tundra this last weekend at the offroad expo. Pics in here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/pomona-off-road-expo-pics.32372/ $160k invested in it? Bullshit. He got the lights, tires, wheels, for free most likely. The shocks at dealer price. The truck was probably free or severely discounted. He did the math of all the parts added up to see what they would cost. Any fab work were either his guys in the shop or the guys in Mexico that rebuilt he prerunner (with the LS motor) after he flipped it a little while back. This one isn't even fully caged.

He has a really nice K5 Blazer that my friend had built then sold it to a team then they sold it to BJ.

Not really. Might actually detract from the price. Once he got the Monster sponsorship he turned into a giant douchebag and did everything for his instagram. Bans people from his FB that make fun of him or point out when he's wrong. Anyone that doesn't think he's the king shit gets banned. He's going on wife number 3 after cheating on the first 2. Anyone that is actually involved in racing just think he's an arrogant crybaby. Only job he's ever had was racing and funded entirely by his dad. He refers to himself as the "New Ironman" because he's the only one driving his truck when he races. Being a really Ironman means you are alone in the truck or on a bike. BJ has a navigator/mechanic with him. Not an Ironman. The people who follow him on instagram and know him only from his Recoil videos think he's an offroad god and they idolize him because they think he's cool and they want to do what he does.

I have another friend that's on his team and used to ride in the trophy truck with him. Even he says BJ is a douche.

Don't get me wrong, the guy can wheel a truck like no one's business. He's good. If he went back to focussing on racing again instead of his social media image he'd be more likable. But he gives up way too easy now. A tummy ache, a $2 bolt are just a few things that have made him quit a race. He'd be at the Monster energy pit parties the night before the race until 3-4am when the race starts at 10am. When you're racing and in that position of having a big team behind you, you owe it to your team to finish. He has no heart in it.

Was the Blazer called Loki before BJ bought it? Because that thing is a bad motherfucker.

I hope he gets his shit back together as a driver. It looks like they finally put in a good practice and testing session recently with some good people in attendance providing guidance. If he gets his focus back he could do well.

Either way, that tundra would be fun. Psychoticaly overpriced, but cool.

BJ sorta puts me in mind of Ken Block and Travis Pastrana - amazing drivers in their own right, but maybe not epic racers.

Wheel control and racer mindset are completely different skills.

I would buy the truck and paint it Robby Gordon style. BJ copied my style on the bright green wheels.

Nope. It was called Blazito. And here it is driven by the original owner John.

Originally built by Blitzkrieg Motor Sports (BMS) and a few other shops. http://www.fourwheeler.com/features/0809or-1979-chevrolet-blazer-blazito/

He then sold it to Householder Motorsports who had a BMS built trophy Truck. The economy took a turn for the worse and they had no need for it so they sold it to BJ. It was kind of a blessing because it had started to look like shit. BJ could keep it properly maintained.

BJ better get his shit back together because his dad, Bobby Baldwin, president of MGM Grand resorts just retired. Like I said, BJ can drive and race, when he has his heart in it and he can put his very large ego aside. But it's been quite a while since that has happened.

I like having Mike as a resource for his experience and knowledge on the topic. In reality, a good “in” for knowledge for the sport 95% of us can never afford. The other 5% are the Speed Glampers. :D
