Hello Y'all. I'm an Austin area, 2011 5.7 SR5 Double Cab 4x2 owner. She just hit her 100k mile mark, had her final payment submitted, and now ready for some mods. I wish I found this site sooner. Thanks to everyone for all the great ideas that I will surely be drawing from.

The Mods she has right now are some WeatherTech Floor Liners, AVS bug deflector, slim window deflectors and I de-badged all but the I-Force logos. After reading through a lot of these threads, I have the following planned, just waiting on deliveries:

    - Plasti-Dip chrome bumpers, mirror caps & rims
    - GrillCraft Mesh Grill
    - Raptor Style LEDs

That'll be the start, then onto tinting the tail lights and retrofit some HIDs for the fronts. Look forward to sharing my progress, lessons, and picking everyone's brain.

What else should I be thinking about Mod-ing? She is a daily driver and currently averaging about 16.6 MPG.

    Semper Fi,
    D.J.

Welcome bud. Wheels and tires will make the most drastic improvement.

Welcome from a fellow Austinite. Besides commuting, do you use the truck for anything else? That plays a big factor in what mods I do and of those, what comes first

Thanks for the warm welcome and suggestions so far. Wheels/Tires/Lift are on the list for sure, just need to work them into the budget. Luckily the "roommate" is on board with the mods, but with one in college and one starting in another 18 months, going to be a longer term option. Hopefully by this time next year I'll be looking for suggestions on those.

As for other uses, I own 3 acres and a couple of horses. Mostly used for getting round hay bales and work around the property. Would love to have a 4x4 model, but I honestly maybe could have used it once or twice in the 5 yrs I've owned it so far.

Put some bad ass exhaust on that thing. Nothing makes me happier than hearing that v8 roar when I slam on the gas. Makes me love any vehicle I drive.
