Just had the 5100’s installed. The truck is basically level, which I didn’t expect since I was going with the mid setting. I’m looking at the shocks, I’m pretty sure the installer set them at the top setting.

I’m super happy with the look but curious on if I need to do anything else with the rear? Looks like we have the same set up. Are you still happy with your set up?

Are the average height increase dimensions given for the 5100s based on a factory new tundra? Reason i ask is my 2019 currently sits at 39 3/8 in the rear and 36 1/8 in the front. If the top setting were to give me 2 1/4 raise in the front over where it currently sits then that would be great, but if it gives that much height from when the truck was new then it might sit nose high.

I'm installing 5100 with 275 70 18 at +25 offset. I'm thinking middle setting but nervous about any rubbing. I read a lot of people use this tire size with stock suspension but not +25 offset.

pretty sure 25 offset is equal to my stock trd off road wheels with my 1.5 inch spacers. i have 275 70 18 and I am on middle setting not close to rubbing

I have then mid setting and that tire size on a +18, it rubbed slightly at full lock but a heat gun and a little effort took care of it

What do the CV joints and ball joints look like with the 5100s on the top setting? Does it put them at a bad angle? Premature wear on parts or no?

Mine should be here this week. Trying to decide.

Nobody? Just wondering about alignment and premature wear if I go top setting.

This is a n00b question, but having never seen 5100s in person, is it possible to tell, at a glance, what setting they are on? I am going with front 5100s here soon and will instruct the dealer to put them on the middle setting, but I want to check that is what they did before I drive away. Of course, I am planning to measure before/after, too, so I expect it will be about 1.7" taller upon pickup.

Or maybe this is N/A -- like if it ships on the middle setting, and thus that is the default?

Agreed. I just moved the clip to the middle setting myself and told the installer that I had set it and to leave it at that height

Shocks are coming from the dealership that is doing the work. My question is, where is this "clip", and can I see it with my naked eye?

    I don’t think so

this is not for a tundra specifically but you can see the grooves and small metal clip 764F26DC-6000-4F6E-B5AB-F6134406ACB2.jpg

Thanks! That's super helpful. I would imagine that, so long as it's not on the lowest setting, if I peer up into the coil assembly with a flashlight, I should see an exposed groove, unless the boot just fully covers it up.

Correct. You should be able to see at least one.
