Hi there. Nice looking truck. I just want to know what is the highest setting you can put on those blisten 5100. I’m thinking of putting it on my 18 truck to level it out. Right now I have leveling kit on mine but everyone says blisten 5100 is the way to go.

Do you have a spacer lift currently. I live the 5100 for what I do. Top setting will make the truck higher in the front. I put a coach builder shackle kit on the rear went with the plus 2. Rear sits like a 1/4 to 1/2 inch higher. I wanted a little rack as I use the bed fit hauling stuff. Hope that helps.

I just picked up a 20 DC that replaced my '16 DC. I upgraded to a 275.65.18 18x9 -12 offset wheels, from the factory steelies, Driver side tires rubbing on mud flaps on while turning. I picked up the 5100 so I can set it higher to eliminate that rubbing, and maybe upgrade to 33's 295.70.18 after I wear the my 32's. How much lift do I really need to be able to achieve not rubbing while keeping the mud flaps.

    Current configuration:
    275.65.18
    18x9 12mm offset
Firestone air springs paired with daystar cradles

Parts on hand ready to be installed:
    Bilstein 5100 ft/rr
    TRD sway bars ft/rr
Tuff Country 2" leveling kit with axle drop
OEM color keyed pocket fender flares to keep the truck cleaner.

    Do I need shims? Shackles?

    Thanks!

I had 33's on stock sr5 suspension that had steel wheels on it orginally. but i had the 33's on 08 wheels I think they were. I'm unsure of offset of those wheels. The wheels I currently have are plus 25 I believe with 37's and 2.5 inches in the front, so top setting. Not sure if that helps or not then the rear I did coach builder shackles plus 2's.

Do you have any side shots of your truck??? I just ordered 5100s and 2 CB shims to put one on each side with it set to the middle setting. Your truck was one of the deciding factors for me. Thanks

    Rock stock this far
Hello all, I know this is a old thread but I have questions and cant be the new guy asking the some old questions in a new thread :D

Just picked up a 2014 Platinum and need to get it ready for the farm. That means smaller wheels, more tire and a slight lift. Would like to maintain some rake as I will being carrying some weight. Was thinking 5100's set in the middle on all four corners w/ coachbuilder shims up front and +1 shackles in the back. Will probably just run 275x75x18 Nitto RG's.

Do you think this will give me some rake? And if I do this will I need to do anything else, ie diff drop, bump stops etc? This truck will see lots of rock, mud ext on the farm but wont be doing any actual wheeling.

    Thanks

@7elXray I'm using 5100s at mid perch up front and nothing in the back. 1" rake measured ground to fender front: 38 1/8" rear: 39 1/8" just to give you an idea. (Everyone's will vary slightly with spring/leaf sag). Now add in your shims and +1 shackles and you should have a rough idea of your planned rake.

Believe diff drop is recommended if you are going over 3" lift. Front 5100's come with bump stop spacers (literally a washer). I didn't use them. The 1 bump stop I attempted to remove snapped the stud, so I left the other 3 alone.

6112's on top setting with Boss shims, 1.5 inch shackles, 5160's in rear. 305/70r18 KO2's, Method Grid 0 offset.
Does anyone know how much space, or how to determine how much space, there should be be between my bump stops (with extensions) and the lower control arms. A shop thought that there was too little allowed travel caused by my extensions/spacers possibly limiting full capabilities of the shock. I know a shock can't full compress so there has to be a limit (the bump stop). I am wondering how to tell what is too little or too much movement.

I’m digging your 1794 stance. Those factory wheels have a +60 offset right? I’m trying to decide what size tire to go with my 2020 factory platinum wheels (+60 i think) and 5100 Bilsteins(middle or top setting). I’ve read conflicting reports on what size tires will fit.

Just literally measure your stock rake. the top setting ends up being ~2.25" so subtract that and see if you go nose high. on my '18 TRD Sport CM 4x4 I have almost exactly a 2" rake, so the top setting would make me nose high.

Really wasn’t asking about that. More so asking about his 1794 wheels.

Man honestly I think you can go 285/65 on the 1794/Platinum 20’s with the clips on middle setting, easy with the top. I just got the Fox pro suspension in for my truck and will be going 285/65 after the pro suspension is on.

No they are great and do what I need them to I just can’t leave well enough alone honestly.... I got a pretty decent deal on the fox pro setup and figured why not.... I deff recommend the 5100 set up... go ahead and get the rears while you’re at it, middle setting is nice because you don’t have to mess with lifting the rear and you’ll have slight rake.

I got a full set (4) for $370ish last year from Boss Offroad. They had a working club coupon.

But I hear Bilstein anything is on back order from everyone.
