    How difficult is it to replace the inner stem tube? Any tricks or advice? About to put the Jowett filter housing on mine today

    It's extremely easy. You can just use a small flathead screwdriver where necessary to bend little tabs.

    One thing you need to do is test fit your 2.5" deep socket tool. I bought 3 before I had one in hand that actually fit, as some tools clearly were manufactured, measured to be 2.5" and THEN painted/coated, making the ID juuuuust slightly too small. If you get it from Jowett directly though, it fits perfectly, and the price is better than other places too. I kept one of the others I bought, and just filed it down a little, so it fits too, but didn't like that I had to do it. But now a spare lives in my truck, just in case.
