This is not going to work on a first gen.

It would be possible to make something custom, but it would be ridiculously expensive for just one.

If we could get ten (10) people that wanted them, we could probably make something.

    Sorry

It's cool, I could 3d print one up but abs is no where strong as metal.

You could send your 3d files to a service that 3-d prints in metal.

    It still won't be cheap.

I have not personally put one on a 3rd gen. However, I have sold to people that have. They have told me you need an 8" long j-hook to make it work. I can supply it with the 8" j-hooks.

So there is no attachment at the base of the battery where that open hole is?

Can you make a hole on the front side for a j hook?

You probably could. IMO the area is a weak spot. If you are wanting to do what the 2gen battery is done to the first gen you would need to strengthen the bottom better. Couple of small 1/8 metal along the inside bottom of course where your j hook would have to fit on the front side. Back side is fine but the way my ass is in over engineered shit I would do back for strength.

@Coupe can i order it with something else other than TRD in it?
Also, i'm running a Odyssey battery, so i'm not sure what size i'd need. I'd prefer the wider band just because of the terrain and abuse my truck is subjected to.

I am sure we can look up the dimensions of the Odyssey or you can drag a tape measure over it. Most batterys are under 7" wide. After that you have to worry about the spacing of the battery caps. On a sealed battery that is not a concern. Next is how tall the battery is to figure out how long the J bolts need to be.

I am going to make a few with TRD pro on them.

The machining costs gets a little prohibitive to make a one off on each one. I would need to probably sell ten (10) to make it worthwhile.

I have also made a few that are blank, with no logo.
