Has anyone ever thought about driving their truck at the open road race?

    http://www.bborr.com/

Some friends of mine were thinking that my truck would not be good for it but I noticed a person that placed 1st on the 110mph bracket with his 2013 Tundra. I have thought about it but need to do some more research about what all is required, etc.

Not sure if that person's truck was heavily modified or just plain factory. Mine at this point is just factory, I think it would be ok I bet.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
Only thing i would worry about is the turns going that fast. "In the last 50 miles leading to Sanderson there are 59 turns, some blind"

Yea, I messaged the person that raced his Tundra but have not heard from him yet. Wanted to ask about that kind of stuff. Hopefully he will respond.

Open road races are a lot of fun, a chance to fully exploit the potential of a vehicle on public roads.

I am going to have to make it out to this one soon.

Silver State - did not compete tho.

Also have been a participant in a lot of the semi-legal road rallies similar to the Gumball 3000

Keep us updated on this. It sounds pretty cool. I didn't see much on that website about the 2017 event.
