I'm looking to sell my 2021 Polygon T8 if anyone is interested. It's never left the ground and ridden by an old guy (68) only on weekends. Comes with extras and shipped TYD for 1800.00. the 2021 and 2022 are exactly the same bike except for paint.

It’s been a few years, but I’m looking to get back on a Roadie (currently riding a Giant Anthem 27.5). Anyone have any experience with the Lynskey Titanium bikes?

    I do.

They are excellent bikes at a good value.

Look for sales and package deals.

    I've put 25,000 miles on my 2018 GR260.

I am fine tuning my Scott Addict 10 Gravel. I have started back up with a goal to do a 100 mile charity ride in the fall. With the snow on the ground, the trainer will have to do.

I have been working on my joints trying to fix them up so I can actually ride again.

    Other bikes are:
    LOOK 795 Aerolite
    Marin Cortina CX Pro (wife’s)
    LOOK 675 (wife’s)

And so many others that have come and gone!

Looking to go full squish now, I'm taking a beating with my hardtail, looking at Specialized SJ EVO comp alloy or YT Jeffsy Core 2 or 3 or YT IZZO

Have you considered Redshift parts to make your hardtail somewhat squishy?

I have their stem on my gravel bike and it is really nice to absorb this shocks. They have a seatpost as well.

I'm always late to the opinion party but I'll also let mine fly. Get used bikes. As my kids were growing I bought and resold many used bikes for them. They each currently have a yeti and a salsa that I found gently used for over 60% off of what retail would have been for them. It's honestly the best way to get value out of a good bike. So many people buy a mtb looking to get out on trails. Then realize they bought way too much bike for what they intended. So many brands to choose from out there as well right now. Just buy a bike that fits you right. I'm still rocking my 2019 intense carbine.

Wife and I went from -0- bikes early '23 to having 4 by years end. I have a Giant Talon 4 and she ride a GT Agressor Pro then we picked up E-bikes. Mine is a Mokwheel Basalt and she has a Bintelli M1. Can't wait for cold and rain to end.

I know exactly what they're for, I had emergency surgery in Dec, then we both had the flu new years and she just had a surgery on the 23rd. So LIFE has been crazy the last 2 months for us. Looking forward to getting out and riding again.

Did you use any chemicals (soaps)? If it was just water, ride down a hill and brake aggressively to dry them off. Some soaps and sprays unfortunately contaminate the pads and/or rotors…

I have been using that stuff for years. It’s a very mild soap so that shouldn’t be your problem. Unless something got washed into the brakes.

I sprayed it everywhere, used a MF towel, rinse and one more was then rinse, used a compressor to blow off water, then bounced a few times to shake off water, dried off with MF towel then went for a spin, brakes were howling

    Most likely just water…

Additionally, be very careful using a compressor near the seals, drivetrain, and brakes

@Oey12 has given great advice so far. But I'd add that you could also wipe the rotors and pads down with rubbing alcohol and a clean soft cloth. Usually clears any lingering soaps off.

I also never use a compressor or any high power washers. Gentle stream of water from a hose is best for protecting seals and everything else.

Disc brakes are pretty sensitive to contamination. I like the alcohol as it cleans off any oils that might be in the soap. Just got to keep the pads free of contaminants. I just swapped out mine and the warnings were plastered all over the packaging not to touch the discs.

I'm late to the party here but those are some great options. The YT is dope.

I recently had to replace my MTB and was looking at the YT Jeffsy, Capra and Propain Tyee. Decided on the Propain as I like their custom build options and one month lead times. And their bike configurator is fun to play around with. https://www.propain-bikes.com/us/

The Tyee has 160 front and back which is a bit more than I need, but the suspension is so efficient with the Fox Float X and Factory 36 it climbs pretty good for an Enduro sled.

Also great point; Oils from our skin is a main containment most people also don't think about. Gloves negate the possibility of oils from our skin transferring to the pad and discs when changing and cleaning.
