Bestop Trek Step or Amp Research Bedstep

    Circling back on this: the Bestop Trekstep is not compatible with the mounting bracket for the Expedition One rear bumper. The fin below the mounting bolts doesn’t let the bracket sit low enough to mate with the bolt holes.

    Still looking at shims and other ways I may get it to work.

    Posting in case this may benefit someone else with an E1 rear bumper. Other brands, YMMV.

    They come down diagonally to be at least partially be clear of the drivers side of the tailgate. I wanted it to more easily reach a rod rack and other roof rack stuff with the tailgate closed.

    The Amp step seems to be similar but I haven’t researched that one yet.

    Not nearly enough room here!
    Just like the TRD Sway Bar, the Toyota branded Amp Research step isn't the only thing of it's kind on the market. After researching and comparing,I found the Bestop Trekstep offered me more for less $:thumbsup: 0424190818[2999].jpg
