@Touch-Ups Happy new year! I am looking to get katzkin seat covers for my 2018 Tundra Doublecab SR5. The driver seat has power controls the passenger seat is manual. I want all black leather. I saw 2 different kits on ebay from your company that has gotten excellent reviews. Here are the 2 that I have seen can you please tell me the difference in these.

    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/302922258487

I know this listing is for crewmax and it says premier memory foam. Is there a significant increase in seat comfort over the lower priced covers?
    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/303012382633

Thank you so much. I will be purchasing these after your reply.

Hello. Happy new year! The katzkin kit you linked is the kit we use 99% of the time. Alea has one just like it. Both companies have their specialty kits. One of Alea’s is the Premier design stitching pattern with the high density foam, kind of like Katzkin’s Tekstitch line. You can tell a difference in the foam. It’s like adding a little foam to your seat, but it’s high density, so it’s still firm, but softer and more comfortable at the same time. And it has that cool stitching pattern!

    Awesome a few more questions.
Can heating and cooling kits be added to the covers or do you recommend it? What tools are required to install these? Are you offering any discounts ? Thank you

that's great news. I'm definitely going to get one of the eBay kits, or if you sell them. Im assuming that you have to get perforated covers for the degreez system? I've ridden in a friends raptor that had the cooling seats, it was really nice!
How much does the degreez kit cost?

Hi Toby @Touch-Ups I sent you a PM as well but can I just get the front seats ? My back seats have been removed on my project truck and I do not need the entire kit.
    Thanks

The degreez system needs a special reticulating foam and perforation to be made into the kit. That requires a special build, which is no problem, but Katzkin charges extra for all that. It basically ends up adding around $175 to a normal kit. And the degreez system itself is around $325/seat. The installation is similar to seat heaters, but with some added steps. You can not get the foam and perf added to most of the special stitched type inserts btw.

I just called Alea. They actually have some of the CrewMax Premier kits in stock, which makes them cheaper. They also have some with Red bolsters and stitching. You never know what there inventory is going to be with specialty kits, but when they do have them actually prebuilt, they cost less.

What about for the double cab? The specialty seats with the extra foam would be fantastic if the price is right

I just ordered my katzkin kit with all the bells and whistles because I’m doing the degreez hearing and cooling system.

Wish I had known about Toby before ordering my kit, I always try to support forum members...

I did Katzkins covers for my 06 Tacoma crew cab I used to own. They are quality leather. I had a local shop install them and about 5yrs ago they charge me $1,350. If I upgrade my wife next year to a sequoia and I doesn’t ha e leather, I will definitely do the Katzkins again.

Ohhhhhh, I’m definitely not undertaking this ordeal. When I started reading about cutting foam and installing tubing, I decided to go ahead and get it professionally done.
