So im in the current stages of revamping my front end with a Dirt King Long Travel setup but now I want to revamp the rear without cutting up my bed and loosing cargo bed space with a rear long travel setup.

    My current rear setup:
Icon rear Add-A-Lead pack with stock overload leaf left in.
King OEM with external adjustable rear reservoirs.

I periodically carry a payload in the bed of around 500lbs or so from side work that I do. My camping setup also consists of a camper shell installed with a RTT minimum.

On trails the fastest I have driven is around 35-40mph. Obviously when the front end is finished I want to have some fun with minor whoops.

Ive heard bad things about the Camburg shock relocation mounts. Ive been thinking about the rear OEM bolt on King 3.0 triple bypass.

What are you recommendations for leaf pack and rear shock options?

What have you heard negative about the Camburg shock relocation kit? I’ve seen one broken, but heard a fair amount of good reviews also.
Also, Zona Motorsports does a similar relocation, and I believe Total Chaos builds one too, although not sure if it’s for spring under only. @68vert has the Zona setup:

MCM fab has a bolt in ADS triple bypass shock that is longer to work well with the Deaver packs - K37 and U748. I haven’t read anything bad about that setup yet.

I've done some offroading, a couple road trips and the truck has performed really well. Floats over any speed bumps I didnt see. The rear has been keeping up with the Total Chaos front, no problem. Not really interested in jumping the truck so cannot comment on that. Really liking the setup so far!

Same boat I'm in! Been debating on the best spring over setup glad to know zona is also an option. Would love to hear the negatives of the camburg relocation setup.

Thank you for that build link. Ive also only seen or heard of one of the Camburg kits breaking. Ive tried looking for other reviews on it but cant seem to find any.

I dont plan in jumping my truck as well. Id like to be able to drive confidently over some whoops. Thats pretty much my target.

I'll try to get some pics when I put on the shackle flip. The shocks are 12" Kings.

Shackle flip? Got any more details? I’ve never heard of flipping the shackle for 2nd gen tundras, just 1st gens.

I meant to type U-bolt flip. Not sure why it came out shackle flip..?? Maybe because I was also looking at 80's Toyota pickups......

Haha, I had a feeling that might be what you meant. Are you going archive garage or piecing together the individual parts?

Sounds like with your load the spring options come down to Deaver U748 or Icon RXT's. I ran Deavers on my old Taco and loved them. I have been running OEM main leafs with a Deaver mini-pack for about 10 years but it was time to replace as the springs were sagging. I just installed the RXT's and am running them at config #2, so far they haven't settled, but are a bit smoother and gained some lift back. They do have a lot more droop than my previous setup, so I bit the bullet and ordered some RXT shocks to replace my current FOX resi's.

Since you already have King resi's, I'd reach out to them about rebuilding with longer shafts to match the RXT travel spec. Someone posted in here that their King 3" lift shocks measured almost exact lengths as the RXT's. Or just install some limit straps and call it a day.

Would you happen to know the difference between the Deaver U748HD and non HD version?
