I’m loving the Falken Wildpeaks AT3/W they look mean and ride surprisingly well. These are 295/70r18, will probably go narrower next time. Slight rub, fixed with zip ties.

The felt liner at the back of both front wheel wells, only at full lock. It took about one minute per side to fix. Drilled a hole through the felt, fed a zip tie through the felt into a metal hole in the wheel well, tightened while pushing up and voila.

Edit: Wheels are the battleborns with +18 offset which really helped these tires fit.

I ignored this because I thought you were asking about the look of the tread pattern and I was like "wtf does that matter as long as they grip"
Your asking about size, that matters and in my opinion, bigger is better. Go with the biggest tire you can fit!!

It is, I thought I’d have to lift it to clear but I’m actually really happy with it the way it sits right now.

Nice looking truck! I was thinking the same tire size but concerned with rubbing...could you post a slight better close of your front wheel well? I am wondering if I should wait for a lift and then go that big or what was the slightly smaller size you were thinking?

Probably 285/75/18 for a taller/narrower tire or maybe down to 275/70/18…which have really good prices and looks good on @Stormtrooper22Tundra truck

Thanks man! I’m out of town but will snap some when I get back home on Tuesday. I’d probably go 285/70r18 mainly for the weight savings. The tires I have are really heavy @ 69 lbs.

    Cheers

No worries...285/70R70s are hard to find unless they are MTs...the ones that are all terrain are $$$...

Thanks for everyone’s input. I’m a tire and wheel noob so this was super helpful. After reading reviews, articles, and some videos of after 1 year reviews, I’m going to be going with the Toyo Open Country AT3 in either the 275/65r20 (34.1” and 55lbs) or the 295/60r20 (33.9” and 60lbs).

These will be going on stock platinum wheels without a lift. From everything I read there shouldn’t be any run issue. I eventually may do the Toyota lift when it comes in in the summer, but for now this will do just fine.

I live in Canada where we get solid 4 -season weather and in the winter, the snow piles up, so does anyone have any thoughts on 275 vs 295 considering the above?

It’s only a 2cm difference in width so I think the difference will be marginal. Think like snowshoes - skinny (275) smaller surface area (contact patch) is more likely to sink through the snow to the road surface vs the wider (295) tire.

But I think the weight of the trucks and the small difference in contact patch size it won’t matter too much. Tread design & rubber make up is as, if not more important depending on if you will be driving on packed snow, icy roads vs deep powder.

    Full body wrap, crazy.

    Wonder what that costs?

Looks wicked though. Interesting with the +18 offset wheels that it rubbed. So that tire [295/70R18] would not rub on stock OEM's? Thought I read above one said theirs did not rub and one that did?

They are one of the lightest LT E available (I think 52lb). Originally the Pirelli 275/65’s ordered that are standard on Rivian but delivery kept getting pushed back and aren’t a huge difference in weight. Better pics:

    ya, that looks great.

how much weight over stock is that set-up? not sure what a stock platinum 20" tire weighs

Really not sure but faintly remember the OEM 265’s at 44 pounds? Won’t bet the farm on it but beleive 42 or 44.
I really have noticed negligible mileag difference, very quiet, no hum and ride is good. Tighter but kinda like the way it does not wallow as much as when on the pure road tire.
