    Pretty slim pickin' for now.

Was going to stack a rough country and Procomp coilover kit, which nets around 4".

Looks like Rough Country is about to release a 6" kit.

Carbon Shocks has a front coilover kit available.

Adventure Motors seems to have pieced together a Fox kit.

Looking to end up around 5-6" of lift and 37" tires on 17" wheels. I've sourced the wheels already, Blackhorn BH-01 17x9 +12et. Did a test fit and they clear everything. Not sure if Rough Country has a spindle ready for their upcoming 6" lift, but hopefully the wheels will clear the spindle if there is one in the RC kit.

Anyone have any experience with lifts other than spacer kits at this point?

What are you truly going for? Looks of a big lift? Off-road performance? Will you take the truck off-road besides gravel roads?

90% looks. However, here on the Big Island, when we are off-road it’s more than gravel roads. Lava rock, sand and lots of bumps and large undulations.

Last couple of lifts I’ve done were BDS and a Zone on my Chevy trucks. I used Bilstein shocks in both cases and was pretty happy with the results.

I suppose to answer your question, mainly for looks, but maintaining travel or increasing travel would also be important. Also being able to maintain factory alignment specs.

Thanks for the reply and open to any and all suggestions.

In that case I have no idea…. Usually if it’s for looks I’d say use the bracket lift and call it a day, but those are no bueno off road. A true coil over/ uca lift on these trucks is awesome, but nets about 3-3.5 max.

Next question. Do you want it to ride like shit or be comfortable?
Stack lifts on lifts and be like every other mondo coolioso who ends up bitching because they spent $500 to get 6" of lift but can't drive their truck over 10mph.

    Wrong guy.

Here in Hawaii we are all Mondo Coolios.
Any other input you’d like to contribute?

Question is still legit. Do you want it to ride nice, or do you not care if it rides like shit?

Id like the best ride quality possible with 5-6” of
    Lift and 37’s.

Just wait until there are proper lift kits available. The ones out right now are crap and were released just to be "first".

Agreed. It’s just tough driving around Hawaii with a lowered truck. My ego and pride are about a low as the truck. I don’t have a pit bull or tattoos either!

Maybe I’ll do a spacer lift and wait it out for a bit.

Honestly I think the best thing to do for right now is the Wescott lift collars and then wait for Icon, Fox, King, Elka, Toytec etc etc to come out with their kits

Exactly what I'm waiting for too! Getting my 1794 TRD off road in a few months and hopefully can lift it soon after. Looks way better lifted and need it to go off roading on da west side!

Damn maybe not quite that high. My wife would kill me esp since I'd always be hearing her grumble since she's 4'11". I'd have to boost her up every time! Haha! 5-6 inch lift probably more what I envision.

Whats the other 10% you mentioned? Actual off-roading, or...? If its just some chill sand driving, or something like that then just go with the RC 6in lift. Enjoy your truck. Most don't actually end up in situations where a DB lift will interfere with their driving.

As of now it looks like I’ll probably do Dobinson IMS shocks in the rear along with a Dobinson 2.5” lift spring. 200 series adjustable Panhard, some rear sway drop brackets and some longer brake lines. I think that’ll sort the rear.

Still undecided on what I’ll do up front. I may end up doing the Procomp coilover in the front at least for time being.

I think that rear setup is going to work perfect. Not sure I’ll be able to get the height I’m looking for on the procomp coil without a spacer, but maybe that’ll be a temporary solution.
