I’m looking for who makes the best ditch light brackets.....ones that just installs smooth, minimal to no trimming, and look like they will last and be rust free. I was looking at Rago and then pair with some Caliraised LED amber pods to keep the cost down. I could be overthinking this and they all work fine!

Not sure you can avoid trimming the cowl. In addition to Rago, check SDHQ. They're expensive but a lotta guys report theyre lower profile.

Also, check build threads on here. The guys with setups off-road rigs are all running ditch light. Look up BASTRD's.

I’m running the Cali raised ditch light bracket. Bolts up nicely and seems to be good quality. Cali raised also has awesome customer service!

Running SDHQ on my truck. Very easy install and It's taken a beating off road. Not sure about others, but I think SDHQ is the only one that has rubber bumps built in.

Anyone know (if manufacturers are listening) how brackets for ditch lights would work with an aftermarket hood? Clearance-wise...

It's hard to tell from that pic, but as long as your hood is flat(not raised) straight back from the hood mounting bolts then you should be good. It looks fairly close in the pics, but I can't tell. What hood is that?

Now my next question......is there a huge difference between a $500 set of LEDs and say a $100 ish dollar set from Cali Raised? I’m looking at ambers.

Yes there is..... but honestly if you're just getting it for looks and your not a pro racer who needs ever last bit of "Extra" then you'll be good

Put it this way. You get what you pay for! If it’s for looks go with the cheaper stuff but if u need some serious light at night then get the better stuff

Yes makes a difference if you are using them for off roading. I bought some 2nd hand calirasedled ambers for my chase lights. Works fine. I just want to be seen in dust and it does its job for that. No where near as nice as my vison x 4.5's, 30in Rigid Radiance, or baja designs sports. I got my baja design sports last year for about $150. Just wait for sales and you can find good deals on the nice stuff.
