That's the exact problem I was having and I had to pay to return them which was expensive because of the box size.

Dang, I hope you can get it sorted, keep us updated! I'm guessing you have them correct because of the little knub in the fender lining, but when I installed mine I realized that they are subtly "sided", maybe theres a chance you have the left/right rears mixed up?

Na. I've got em on the right sides for sure. The worst one is the front left too.

^^ This is why I had apprehension about the flares.
As hopeful as I am to want them to work, it'd be my luck that I'd run into issues for sure.
I actually was considering buying them tonight...
I'm glad I checked the forums beforehand.

@70 FJ40 I hope your get it worked out :) and if so please provide some insight in what you did to make them work! Good luck!

After reading a few threads I'm glad I decided not to put flares on. It's inevitable that dirt will get trapped between the flare and paint resulting in a wear mark in the paint. Wouldn't matter if you never removed them but I would not trust a cheap part long term. It may fade or distort over time.

I wasn't sure what kind mine were, but after looking at yours I think mine are the same? Mine came on the truck when I bought it used

I just got these as well for less than $200 and free shipping via Prime (big savings for us Alaskans who get gouged hard on shipping costs).

Am impressed with them. The pockets / bolts actually don’t bother me as I thought they might. The satin finish blends well with the gloss paint and black trim pieces on my truck. Install was relatively painless, and they fit very well. Also really like how they have an additional flare out at the bottom to better protect from rocks / road spray.

Pardon the dirty truck. Springtime Alaska and black trucks don’t mix, lol.

So after some convincing I got the ebay seller to send me a new set of flares. Hopefully these one are better. They did give me free return shipping and also shipped the new ones out for free. Couldn't ask for much more. I do believe they are the exact same ones found on Amazon because the return shipping label said EAG returns department.

@junior these as well as the last ones had little metal bracket thingies that are too short. Last time I just super glued them on the back in the right place. One guy I noticed trimmed the plastic bracket to so they would fit. What did you do on yours?

Hmmm I can't remember, is this on the front wheel bracket?

Yep. On the front wheel bracket. I notched them a little. Way better then what I did last time.

This second set fits much better. I used the rubber fender trim @junior posted above. I think that helped as well. There are only small gaps this time and the rubber covers them nicely.

Ahhh I do remember that as well, it didnt bother me too much but seems to be holding no problem for me as well. Glad you got it sorted and the fitment is better with the new trim!

I've got 1 1/4" Bora wheel spacers as well. Really starting to like the way it looks now. Just need to cut down on all the chrome up front.

Thanks @junior. Hey, I'm sure you've been asked before but what are you running for lift and tires? I like the stance your truck has.

No issues at all. Love them. Do yourself a favor and use a right angle drive and small impact. Makes install MUCH easier.

If you are referring to how much they cost they were $220. I'm not convinced there is any difference though.

    Function before sparkle.
Those are neither. They are EAG / eBay.

Looking at the pics it appears that if you run fender flares of any sort you lose the factory mud flaps.
Not opposed to that, but for those that have flares, is it worth losing the mud flaps for the added width on the fenders?
