That Flowmaster sounds nice, but too loud for my taste.

I have the corsa dual tip for my rear exhaust. I love the sound of it. It’s more aggressive sounding when your on the gas. If you just cruising you don’t really notice it much.

I have Corsa sport (2?)... I travel a bit for work, and tow a lot for dirt bike fun. Not much drone, and sounds absolutely amazing when towing!!

I had Corsa's Touring Catback on my 2010 for a while. Replaced it with a 10 inch BA Exhaust and the sound is as close as I could've hoped for.... without loss of low-end torque. Keith can explain what 3 inch pipe does 'for' our stock engines.

The stock tailpipe is the only tailpipe for a tundra thst is 2 3/4”

Every other system made for a tundra is either duals, which loses low end torque, or single 3” which also loses low end torque.

Rather than reinvent the wheel, we tie back to the stock tailpipe. This not only keeps your low end torque but it also helps reduce drone.

Then by installing a helmholtz resonator we kill what little drone is left.

Please feel free to give a call for further explanation:)

Corsa used 3 inch pipe for my 2010 system, I'd guess they still do. As with every other 'off the shelf' exhaust builder, count on 3 inch pipe. Give Keith a call and get educated about why our engines need different size pipe than pushrod designs of the big-3.

Yes I have the 3” mid pipes and exhaust. It’s hard for me to say about losing hp and torque since I’ve added the Magnuson SC. My truck is going to a tuner and Dyno shop next week. So then I’ll know my true horse power and torque numbers.

Just a heads up the DD 3” midpipes I ordered are actually just under 2.5” inside dimensions not 3”. The stock mid pipes are actually 2” inside dimensions. I wouldn’t have gone the same route again if I could do it over. I would have gone with the American Racing Full stainless headers and their full exhaust system. It’s not cheap by any means but very nice, clean and a great deep sound to it.

Stock mid pipe. Notice the stock pipe extends beyond the flange to help the chance of an exhaust leak.

Like Keith has told us, if you're Super Charged, 3 inch exhaust is what you want. If stock, keep the stock sized pipe. You're right about Corsa's exhaust tip, I'd pay to have one attached to my BA System.

If the mid pipes you received aren’t 3” then you didn’t order 3” mid pipes.

We offer them in 2.5” and in 3”.

That’s the point of my business model. We have limitless choices. Not just one thing for a tundra. We can make anything.

That said, if the 2.5” mid pipes aren’t what you wanted we will exchange them for 3” at no charge.

    Call for details.

I just looked over your previous pictures. You’re exiting thru what appears to be a stock tailpipe? Or dual 2.5”?

Either case the 2.5” mid pipes that we built you is appropriate, 3” would not be right for you.

So I paid for 3” but I didn’t get 3” mid pipes is what your saying? I appreciate all the help you offered but unfortunately I had to pay a local exhaust shop another $300 more to get the mid pipes to even fit. Here’s a copy of my invoice showing I paid for 3” mid pipes not 2.5”. I’m glad other clients have had a good experience but unfortunately I did not. I didn’t order the wrong thing. I was very clear from the beginning I wanted a 3” system. I just wanted others considering a 3” to know what is being offered. I’m not here to tarnish Keith’s intentions or character but state what I received since another member was asking.

I’m not sure if that’s what he meant. But I paid for 3” and I have 2.5”. Either way the system is already installed. I didn’t want to make a big deal of it just wanted to share my experience with other forum members. That’s what’s great about this forum.

ok...I'm a newb when it comes to all this so there is a good chance this may sound stupid, bare with me...i want a better sound than the stock exhaust i have...just doesn't have enough growl to it. im not looking for anything too loud, or anything that drowns out the radio or makes it impossible to hear someone talking if I'm on the phone...just enough that when i mash the gas i have a little more umph and little more growl...any suggestions on what to do or what I'm looking for? if any of that made sense...lol

If I knew what I had, I’d recommend it.
It’s a Flowmaster that makes a mean rev when it starts up, gently roars when you accelerate, but is unnoticeable the rest of the time. It was installed on my 4.6 by the previous owner.

Barry, I can only recommend what I've found to be the best bet for trucks like ours. In my opinion, you'll need to speak to Keith and get his take on one of his 10 or 12 inch systems. You'd never mistake my 10 inch single for stock at idle but it's when just cruising along that it confirms I've made the right choice. When I nail the skinny pedal, you'd never believe it was the same truck! I've had my system for several years and I still grin like a monkey when I open it up!:D

I agree. I installed Keith's 8" system over the weekend and it is absolutely incredible. The sound is amazing. I don't have drone, can hear everything on the stock stereo and everyone can hear me on the phone. This by far is the best system for the Tundra. Plus if you don't like it, send it back and Keith will give you a full refund. I don't know of many other manufacturers that will do that.

I am not the most mechanically inclined and it took me about an hour. Keith has a great video posted that walks you through it. I laid down in my driveway, crawled underneath the truck and did it all. Super easy and it sounds incredible. You will need a 12mm and 14mm socket and that is it.

That one hour job is also just one rusted bolt away from being a 3 hour job. I ended having to grind the nuts off the flanges just to get the bolts out

I didn't think about that. My truck only had 1,000 miles on it when I installed it so everything was rust free.

Ok another question...if I'm putting on a new muffler what's the problem with using the existing tail pipe? I have a mastflow super 40 that I'm installing and I dont want to dump it and I'd like to not pay for new pipe right now

There is no problem unless the pipes don't line up, or if they don't line up. Then the only "problem" is then going and having a custom piece made to connect it. Best of luck either way.
