Best chrome vent ring covers

Who makes the best vent ring covers to get rid of the glare on our trucks? also, matte black or gloss black?

 

@DecalsByDesign but he injured and way busy, but just maybe he can squeeze you in, mine are matte

 

Tufskinz is another option with different colors to choose from. Taking them out and painting/vinyl is a pain for the middle two so overlay is the easiest option just in case you were contemplating that as well.

TVD Vinyl makes some good stuff.

 

unfortunately you can still see the chrome underneath from side angles.
Best option is to remove and wrap or paint

 

Allow me to make you want to change it all....Rustoleum soft iron for the silver trim and brushed black steel vinyl for the vent chrome and ac contol panel

 

I agree. i currently have my trust in pieces because i removed all the chrome and grey pieces in the dash/doors/center console area and are having them painted Barcelona red except for the main large center piece will be black. it will be fabulous. pics will come when i get them back from pain on Saturday.

 

That looks freakin awesome! I so want to do this! Maybe when I change out my head unit, I’ll have to do something along those lines

Just know you have to take your entire dash trim apart. Its not hard really, just nerve racking and time consuming.

Its hard to tell atbthat angle but I already did them. Wrapped them but will be going back and painting to match when i do my steering wheel trim.

 

Nice...I think I need to follow in @SR5 AZUL and take my dash apart and paint chrome rings and control knobs. I have vent covers on now, but like others have said, certain angles you can still see the chrome.

I just edited with my latest picture with my new leather steering wheel and black trd shift knob.

 

How was the steering wheel swap? Been contemplating looking for a leather tacoma or tundra one to replace my composite one.

 

I see you couldnt get the 4x4 knob apart either... Looks great! Why not just paint that volume button?

 

Super easy! Torque it to 38ft/lbs and good to go! I got mine from a 2014 4Runner

On the steering wheel? Painted, same as the grey control covers, the emblem is plastidipped (camping, excuse the dirt)

I agree, the grey plastic and chrome emblem on the steering wheel look a bit dated. I like it when some of us carbon fiber wrap and paint them different colors too.

 

I just need time...its my only rig so I dont want to be driving down the road without my dash hahaha

Ha, you made me check. No it’s solid now. I remember I had it all blacked and realized the volume rocker was still grey, OCD kicked in lol
