Gotta ask. I just installed mine today. And curious how you ran your drain hoses and how has it been after rain??

I have had this model on my last 2 trucks and my current Tundra. It is absolutely great. The only thing I am second guessing is the ability to have this tonneau with a bed rack (future plans). I have been chatting with a few bed rack vendors and some have assured me a bed rack will still work with the cover, but I havent seen anybody running one yet.

Yeah I would like that also, I carry a kayak and a bed rack would be great, but I was told by the place that installed it, that it wasn't possible to have the bed rack too. But the bed cover is awesome and well built!

There are 4 drain hose locations, two under the canister and then the two on the back of the cover rails. I routed the two under the canister to the knock-outs in the side of the bed, used a drill hole saw to make the hole then inserted the grommets supplied by Truck Covers, easy enough, cut the tubing to fit.

The two at the back near the tailgate, you have to drill into the steel on the bed. I was really nervous about this part, cutting into a brand new truck didn't feel great! I chose the locations, went under the truck to be sure they drained freely to the ground, measured to make them even and then just started drilling. Pics below show locations I went with. The instructions tell you what size hole saw bit to use, it was spot on. Getting the grommets in was a little tricky, ended up working them in with a flat screwdriver.

As far as dryness during rain, it's way better than I hoped it would be. Coming from a BakRoll that leaked everywhere, this cover is awesome. I have 1 very minor drip, don't even want to call it a leak, but for the most part the bed stays 99% dry. I believe I can eliminate the leak, just have to take the time to make some adjustments. By far the best cover I've owned. Have had two different trifolds, and now two retractable.

American EZ Roll tonneau. Bought from realtruck.com. $259.

Install wasnt too bad. About an hour to get it all dialled in. Looks sleek, low profile. I like the roll up so entire bed is accessible. And has adjustment blocks for tension.

Last phot shows the hooks that the straps hook to. It actually keeps the cover from hitting or resting on the cab.

    I’d also say Diamondback HD.

I’ve had mine about a month now. Originally had a Bakflip MX4. It leaked through the panels (between the frame and panels), directly into the bed. They were kind enough to warranty it, but I didn’t install the warranty one as I thought I was doing a gooseneck hitch install. Plans changed, and I got a Diamondback HD. It is completely waterproof, total beef, super easy to use, looks great, and very convenient. I get some spray through the tailgate in a car wash, but otherwise it is dry as a bone. I’ve had 800# or more on the lid; no issues of any kind. It’s great.

When folded up does the cover rub against just the window or does it touch the paint at all. I'm conflicted between this one and the Armor Flex by Under Cover which doesn't touch the cab when fully open.

For reference I have nothing to compare it to. Last week installed the Bak Revolver X4. General build quality seems good. Instructions to install are good. The cover materials appear stout. Install went smooth until the passenger side rail would not stay level. I had to make a small metal shim which I positioned between interior of bed rail and Bak bed rail s bracket mounts to get this rail level. The latches or pulls to open the cover seem just ok so far. The cover is flush with the bed and is nearly invisible because of this. Price is tough at 1,059 but who knows how long it will hold up. Anyone have a Bak cover for 5+ years?

It probably is..just a different tag. Had a very similar one on that was Truxedo brand on my old Colorado. This one has some improvements

I have the revolver X2 for a couple years now, my only gripe is when it’s cold , it wont roll up, only found out because I moved to Sparks, NV from CA.
And this winter that’s when i found out. Besides thats its holding up very well.

I've had 4 different covers before I've settled on the Diamondback HD. It is the most secure to keep my tools protected, 90-97% watertight, and best part I use it daily for my company. The picture bellow is of 1200lbs of tile not counting tools in bed. Cover is rated for 1650lbs. 20190611_110322[1].jpg

I had zero interest in any bedcover until I learned about the Diamondback.

    Now that is my aim.

    A bunch
Another Diamondback vote. Been through 2 other covers - ReTrax retractable and BakFlip HD, and they don't hold a candle to the Diamondback for watertight and functionality. Only 2 spots in the bed have leaking issues, and neither have to do with the cover - one is at the tailgate on both sides, other is on the front bulkhead of the bed where it joins the sides. Tailgate seal for the back and silicone seal up front and my bed will be watertight (from rain at least, haven't taken a pressure washer to the cover for extreme amounts of water and pressure). And for those with questions on tall loads, within 30 minutes I can have the cover taken off and then put back on, by myself.
