Not trying to be rude at all but only been to Nashville a few times and you will have NO problem finding insanely good BBQ. Your question is kinda crazy cause its like asking for a good forest in Canada. There are so many good places that if you go on Yelp and see something with 3 Stars it will probably blow away 90% of the country. You will love Nashville, fantastic fun town. Stay the F away from Memphis, you will die.

I would say Martins probably has a small edge. There are some really good joints. We are actually in Nashville right now as we speak for my daughters soccer team. We might dig into some BBQ tonight.

Peg Leg porker is another from my memory that is pretty good. Martins seem to be the top but depending on location of where you are in Nashville can be rough and 1.5 hour adventure these days to get from one side of the city to the other....

It's really not that crazy and your comparison is a bit exaggerated. Those mass lists of, for example, "best bbq places in Nashville" are always convoluted as well.

I have family in Texas and most of the good places in the San Antonio/Seguin area they go to aren't even on the radar of most sources.

I recently got back from a trip which included a day in Nashville. Peg Leg Porkers def didn’t disappoint, and talk about fast service!
