Hey guys and girls. I'm currently looking for opinions on the best aftermarket air intakes for the 5.7... Is it worth doing? I have heard good things about Volant. Looking for hands on experience and opinions. I have heard the K&N of system is pretty good as well. But I have also heard aftermarket systems are also not so much bang..... But more buck$$$ Thanks in advance for any input.

Ok thanks  But all do the same meaning what? Are they Worth it. The K&N advertises 13 HP increase. Also does closed box or K&N style have an advantage.

I like the enclosed ones better. open box is like a "hot air intake " :)

K&N filters aren't so good at filtering out dust. If you want to do something that will be more useful (and free) cut out the charcoal bed filter above the air filter. It's used to keep any un-burned fuel vapors from coming out the intake after you turn the engine off, but doesn't actually do any filtering.

more than I can list here
I've Dyno and track tested several intakes. No gain in power.

You're better off running a Bullydog.

Given that this is a purely cosmetic upgrade, it all depends on your own taste. My personal preference is for the TRD.
