Doing “pot luck” style for the big game, (super bowl lol) looking for some crowd pleasing ideas. What’s everyone’s favorite/best dish for the big game??

Elk roast has always been a hit for us. Cook it pretty much the same as you would cook a roast beef. Vension roast wrapped in bacon and cooked in a slow cooker on top of apple slices is great too.

Love some good elk loin. It's all about the seasoning, marinade and cook time to break down the proteins to make them tender. I like to keep it simple

Or just put out a tray of different summer sausages or pepper sticks. Easy

Any cut of elk is at the top for me. I recently killed an axis doe, and it is quickly becoming a top contender.

Tenderized steaks cut from the hams or shoulders of either animal is excellent when chicken fried.

We do a turkey dinner every year. Then everyone brings munchies for throughout the day.

Veggie trays and dip, meat trays, chips, dip, salsa, guac, hot wings, fudge, brownies, cookies, cheeses, and different breads and spreads.

Usually a full house. And we hardly ever have left overs.

Its delicious. If you've never tried it, you need to find a buddy with some or learn to hunt!

Me too, was hoping for some new deer recipes.

We usually do a few wraps similar to this.
    https://www.tasteandtellblog.com/cucumber-ranch-turkey-wraps/
You can make them the day before and refrigerate. This is always popular too.
    https://newengland.com/today/food/appetizers/dips-spreads/clam-dip/
Crock pot things are easy too. Chili, little smokies in BBQ sauce, queso...

D'oh! I thought the same. LOL!!

For superbowl food, it's gotta be chili and homemade sourdough bread.

Different every year. This year it will be Wings with a pineapple, soy sauce, garlic marinade.
I will call them KC wings this year. Whatever helps the 9ers lose.
