Here is my 2018 the day after I picked it up in January of this year:

And here it is today after swapping out the chrome with Blazing Blue Pearl parts (from Spark Toyota):

    Much nicer IMO.

Looks good just ordered my grill and surround. Had to go with platinum grill so it will still have chrome in the middle. But I bought a SR5 center which is black. Don't know if I will use it or not, I do like those honey combs a lot. Seems that I can not order mics bronze parts like the other colors. Have not decided what to about the bumpers either line x or color matched

The honey comb grill that came with the blue surround was slightly different than the grill that came with the Tundra. Original was a dark gray (somewhat matte) and the grill with the blue surround is more of a gloss or semi-gloss black. Much, much nicer.

They were something of a PITA. The new blue painted bumper end caps were out of plastic, the oroiginals were chrome steel. I had to remove the bumper (following a procedure somewhere on this forum) and R&R the end caps. The TSS sensors were a bit difficult to install as well as the fog light mounts. The fog light mounts were loose when snapped in so I reinforced them with a couple of thread forming screws to keep them from rattling. A little mod job but okay. The bumper work took me most of a day (but I am slow at this stuff).

The bumper caps are the biggest pain in the ass of this project. And the fact that Toyota Cement paint does not match from one year to another.

I saw your thread on your Sport while I was working on mine. It really gave me a good idea as to what mine would eventually look like and was very motivating!

Thanks for asking that question - that was going to be mine... really don't love the chrome ears on the front either. May have to go the plasti-dip route!

I'm okay with the emblems myself. I'm proud of the 5.7 V-8 and the fact that it is an SR5. I check other Tundras out to see how they are equipped and the emblems help.

Nice, I changed all mine to black including the 5.7 and took the SR5’s off completely. Going for a little cleaner look. Yours looks awesome congrats.

I think I’m gonna do the same. Did you have to do any prep? Like scuff up the chrome??

QQ... Typically a company monitors feedback from owners/forums/marketing research.... there are quite a few of us that have removed the chrome on their trucks. I mean... put an option "chrome delete" for $500 and they could generate additional income on options. I'd do it.. and I'm sure many others would. I had my bulge and grill (hidden in the home) before I even got my truck delivered.

I just cleaned it real good with rubbing alcohol. No scuffing, since I may want to remove it some day.

I think you will be really glad you went through the effort, I know I am. I often find myself just walking out in front of the Tundra and just admiring how it looks now. I forgot to mention in the OP that I also changed out the black mirror covers for Blazing Blue Pearl mirror covers, also from Sparks.
