    Smooth taste, slight kick of the chili peppers. No overpowering notes, damn near perfectly balanced.

    So I have figured out that so far, I am really enjoying the porters and ales. I have had a couple IPAs that I liked.
    I still enjoy my hefeweizen and dunkelweizen beirs.
    I have seen y'all talking about stouts, I think I will give this a go here soon. What would be a good starter stout?

    Rogue, founders, etc. I know Colorado has some good breweries. Doubt you’d have a problem finding one.

    I’ve found I lean towards Irish and Scottish ales along with imperial stouts (love Russian imperials)

    If you like dark and pretty bitter beers, you’ll love stouts.

    Guinness is good, but that’s about the bottom of the barrel for stouts as far as I’m concerned.

    Anytime you try a new beer, you’re throwing the dice!
    Best to start off with some reputable breweries. Apparently up there, Something Brewery is killing it, and look at what @T-Rex266 lists. From his posts, we have similar tastes, doubt he’d steer you wrong (on beer that is) LOL

    I always like to save these kind of beers (porters/stouts) for later in the evening. Can’t enjoy them during the day like I can IPA’s, light ales, and other light(er) brews.
