My apologies Sean, I can say with out a doubt That all the beer I've consumed is legit and for the most part it's fu÷×ing. Clear . Slim Shady

 

Ok Sean , you got me nailed. I have drank a multitude of beers. My favorite...... Soft Serve by far, but all the beers I consumed tonight were legit. My thoughts are drink up man. I got some nice tasty beers coming your way, just sayin.

Cigar city brewing Tampa FL
Strong dark ale with licorice root aged in Rum barrels 11.3% ABV
Aroma is mostly rum not much licorice, nice and boozy at 11% I'm not tasting much licorice which is prob a good thing

 

Triple Crossing brewing- Richmond VA
Valhalla DIPA 8% ABV
100% Citra hops smells delicious like citrus , smooth not too hoppy hints of orange.

Battle Creek DIPA 8% ABV mosiac, and Columbus hops. Best NE style hazy IPA I've ever had.

Sea Dog Brewing Company
Grapefruit with a peach kicker. This beer is jumped in to my top 3 summer beers. Very refreshing and not to fruity.

Next one up to the table is from Flying Dog. I love all Flying Dog beers ive had, and this is no exception. Dead Rise Old Bay summer ale. You get that old bay at the end, not to overpowering. SALUTE!

Piney citrus aroma , citrus,peach, mango and passion fruit flavors

And this was the first time I've experienced this.....(knowingly anyway). Yeast sediment I believe. It was relatively off putting at first.

 

Prop stopper seaweed IPA from Blue Point brewing in StrongGuyland, NY.
Good American IPA. 7.7% abv & 58 ibu's.
More roasted malt character (and lots of it) despite the dark golden color consistent with a double or imperial IPA. I'm just guessing that's where it's getting the higher than normal abv for the style and not a lot of hoppy piney character (evidenced by the low 58 ibu's).
Not something I need to drive out of my way to find. But I'll gladly finish the 3 remaining tall boys that came with it. 6/10 for me (I'm pretty picky with IPA's)

 

I assume you visited Portland, ME for that glass? Heading there in three weeks for a vacation. Staying for a week. How is it up there?

 

I've been up there several times. It's awesome. Kind of a hipster-y vibe but reasonably priced. So good food and good beer that isn't a fortune (yet). One of my favorite places in the northeast.
PM if you want some recommendations for beers / seafood/ food.

 

'69 Superbird DIPA 8% ABV
Final Gravity brewing- Richmond VA
Can is 10 days old but it still has a decent aroma, More citrus than hops at this point. Azacca, el dorado and Citra hops. Taste of stone fruit and citrus

 

Hoppy....YES, tasty...hell yes, pretty sweet brew from OKC

 

Grabbed one of these last week when I went out fishing (seemed fitting), bought a couple more yesterday, It's darn good ale, nice hoppy flavour without too much bitter aftertaste. Locally brewed too, quickly becoming a favourite.

 

Oh good lord this is amazing. I cannot say enough about how good this beer is. It's 9.9% ABV and it takes about 6. Perfect balance. I will for SURE be buying more of this

Or maybe it just feels more balanced because I'm used to 14% lately

 

Sounds about right. They all blend together in that $10-$18 range these days. It's been more of an "oh, I haven't tried this yet. I'm getting it" rather than "hmm, how much is this one?"

I guess that's what happens when you drink too often? Lol
