Use a knife and remove the linex from the bolts and tie down. Heat it up with a heat gun first

What do you call it when old people start forgetting stuff? Shit, can’t remember the word. Anyways, yeah it looks like that. But at least that big plate will cover the hole in your Linex. 9FBF824B-F1C4-4F2E-B068-7CBFA2127ADC.jpg

My bed flexes so much that I broke two of the bolts that attach these to the bed. :eek2: LOL But then again my bed is cracked in multiple spots so I would suggest to prevent any issues.

As of now, there are no plans to make a 1st Gen Tundra Bed Stiffener. It's not as big of a requirement on the first gen. The older trucks have thicker sheet metal.

I'll post up if anything changes

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
Did you ever get an answer to this?
I installed these yesterday with my Decked Drawers in the truck. Difficult but doable.

You are correct sir. The metal is much thicker in these 1st Gens. I see not reason to ‘need’ these for our years truck unless mounting some heavy tent apparatus up high on them and going berserk 4x4.

On a side note, my side boxes stiffened up the bed even more when I ran a support leg from the wheel well up to the bottom of the box. Used a combo of self tapping metal roof screws and flexible adhesive. She is very tight.
