Bed Mat

What are everyone's suggestions on a bed mat to keep stuff from sliding around on the composite bed?

Bought my rig used from a Toyota parts man.
My bed mat came from Toyota. The thing is truly heavy duty.

 

OEM. It is super thick and super duper grippy. Just drove 2500 miles with ice chest and suitcases (covered beneath a tonneau) and none of them budged an inch.

This is what it looks like, taken when I first threw it in. It comes rolled up of course so it took overnight to lay flat.

 

Do yourself a favor and do what everyone else is saying and get the OEM one. I had one on my Tacoma and now one on my tundra. I haul a 14ft 140lb fishing kayak in the bed and this mat does wonders

Is the OEM bed mat available for the 6.5’ bed?

 

I'm normally an "OEM type of guy," but in this case I'm not. The Black Armour bed mat is superior to the OEM in every way.

 

I have a Westin bed mat in my 2012 and really like it.

 

I have the OEM bedmat for the 6.5' bed. It is probably my favorite addition so far.

 

What is everyone paying for the OEM 5.5?

Maybe not "every" way. Not sure it's worth over $100 more...at least not to me. The OEM one I have in my 2.5 has held up great and I plan to put on in my 3.0....if it ever shows up.

 

Nice. Might be worth asking your local dealer to match this price before ordering snd shipping. Never know

 

Black Armour. It's 1/2" thick vs the OEM 1/4". I paid $300 Canuckistani pesos after shipping. Wait until they come on sale.

 

Net price for the bed mat is $126. Couldn't hurt to mention that and ask if they could hook you up with a discount instead of paying the full $180

 

I called my local dealer and they said they had them in stock for $180. I looked online at their website and the price was $130, so I called back and asked if it was the same thing and why the price difference.

They said the only difference was it was the online price… So, I purchased it online, and went and picked it up at the same dealer that was charging $180 if I walked in and asked for it. It was the strangest damn thing.

 

Just google Toyota part # PT318-34221-SB (For 5.5 ft bed) will be diff for other sizes.

I got mine for $130, maybe around $150 with shipping.

 

That's what I did too. Also another tip, let the bed mat sit in the check out cart for a day or two. Usually companies will send you an email with a discount code to try to convince you to buy it. I was able to get an extra 30 dollars off mine this way.

 

I was quoted $198 from one dealer and $212 from another, the first was willing to give for $180 once I mentioned I'd seen it for $140 (plus shipping).

It could say Hecho En Mexico for all I care, just as long as it wasn’t $300. lol
The bigger thing for me getting it from the dealer is I needed to find one right away. I didnt have time to wait on ordering one. I need to look at my receipt or statement to see what I actually paid but I remember it being every bit of $180

 

I can't speak to the OEM, but I have the black armour and have no complaints.

At the time I got mine, Black Armour was running a special for free shipping. I think the BA was more expensive, but the websites selling the OEM mat ended up being about the same once I was paying for shipping. If you're going to cross shop the two, I'd say factor in shipping unless you're getting it from Amazon.

 

They've gone up considerably. I paid $229 with the free shipping.

 

Found my local dealer has one in stock for $180. Called a few others, they all had $180 as well. Going to just suck it up and buy it.
