I want to install bed lighting under the rails of my 16 CM. I want the bed lights to come on whenever the rear cargo lamp does and also whenever I open the tailgate. Does anybody know how I would need to wire it?

Can't help on the wiring, but just curious - Which lights are you installing?

Mine are mounted on the underside of the tonneau rails.

Does anyone know which color wire to tap for the cargo light? I have a 2017 Tundra crew max. I read in a previous post to tap the wire from under the driver side rear door panel wire loom. I want to tap that cargo light wire for my new bed light leds.

I have mine running straight to my battery. I would like it on as long as I want for those situations for camping, sitting on the bed while watching fireworks, etc.

Nice, you will love them. Bit of advice, mount the switch lower down bed. I installed it where the instructions said to and had a tough time with length of ground wire. Not impossible though, just took some time.

    Good luck!

You're gonna need to tie into the cargo lamp wire. It's in your door sail, drivers side thin dark Brown wire.
It was a pita to run the wire into the cab from that back corner.
