Second try ordering from amp was a success. Make sure when you call that they transfer you to a sales rep otherwise you'll be stuck with the guy answering phones that doesn't know what he's talking about.

Sounds good. The rep I ordered from was a Tundra owner and knew exactly what I was talking about before I even finished the sentence.

Can you post their part number if you end up getting one with the part?

Are you talking about the part number for the bracket? If so please read the quoted post above for it.

Sorry, totally missed that. Picking one of these up tomorrow, without the hardware. Thanks!

I've just started looking at these and AMP has been at the top of my list.

Called today and was told by "the guy who runs the Tech dept.", that they are not selling these to the public and they are a dealer item. He even checked with some manager to confirm. My local dealer says he thinks the factory extender comes with them , but the computer and item description don't say for sure. Toyota wants $330 for theirs. :(

The snotty lady who answered the phone at AMP wouldn't transfer me to anyone until I told her what I was looking for. She said parts are handled by the tech department so she transferred me there. Since they shot me down and are unwilling to sell to the public, I wonder where else they can be found if the dealer doesn't truly have them.

This may not be a PC answer but this is why people go to China for their products. That company has something you want to buy, you are offering to give them money and they could give two f$cks that you are calling them.

Try to ask another rep or call summit racing and see if they will order it with the part numbers you have.

Except the price, and honestly, if it does come with the no drill brackets for that price, it's not that much more than buying it elsewhere.

I would try again, luckily the second try for me was a success. I wish I had got the reps name so I could post it on here and just have the person answering calls transfer you to that person. The guy that denied me the first time sounded like a younger dude (millennial), meanwhile the second time was an older gentleman, if that helps. The second time around I was prepared to explain to them that a lot of people on the tundra forums were purchasing this item directly from them and wasn't gonna take no for an answer. Fortunately though the guy that looked up the part number gave me a price quote right away and we were done.

Spoke to a Chris on the phone.
