I get that this guy does some crazy stuff with his new truck and it's partially his fault with all the shenanigans he pulls, but if the truck was designed well the bed should have never hit the cab of the truck to cause this damage.

The owner is saying the bed hit the cab. If you watch some of his videos, I'm not surprised, but still something that should never happen.

Does that sticker on the bed say off road? Is that as in parking lot, driveway or what?

Guy was likely driving off road like he was playing forza and the frame flexed when he hit a rut extra hard. What do you expect?

Yup…all the evidence/comments points to the bed/frame flexing enough to do that (not sure if it’s a bad design combined with the stuff he does or something like the bed not mounted/seated correctly on the first place)

…admittely I don’t know enough to know if any bed/frame should flex that much under any circumstances so I am very interested to learn the reasoning and outcome.

This can happen with lots of models of trucks. Once you bottom out the rear suspension where else is it gonna go

Remember when Raptors were being jumped off road and the frames were bending? This is the same thing.

Not trying to stir the pot. This guy abuses the truck. Just not something I would expect. I've done some crazy stuff with past trucks and never seen something like this.

Is this guy’s Tundra frame bent?

I remember that Raptor debacle well. That was a truck that was marketed as Baja-ready. But Ford put weight relief holes in the frame directly under the rear bump stops. Guys would take them out to the desert, jump them once, and warp the frame.

I mean it’s abuse of the vehicle same as the Raptor thing. I guess Ford really pushed the baja/desert runner image but who would think a stock vehicle can take jumps like the real baja trucks??

I’d imagine you’d have to do something really stupid to dent it that bad with a boxed frame.

As others have said, this guy is a real tool. He is like the Youtubers that throw an Iphone on the sidewalk to see if it will break. I hate to say it, but his truck deserves everything that happens to it.

Trophy trucks are race trucks. Google trophy truck and you will see stuff like this.

The point being made is that the guy in the video is a complete dipshit because he took a regular truck and drove it like a trophy truck. On par with the morons who go buy a WRX and think they have a rally car.

As much as I personally believe this guy is a complete moron, it still doesn't explain how there would be cab/bed damage caused by some of his hapless adventures in the woods, especially with the supposed new and improved boxed frame. I'm starting to wonder if Toyota actually took the time to 4 wheel these rigs in harsh conditions, or if they just took the engineers word for it? :notsure:

Watching somebody destroy a completely usable vehicle like that with no regret..... definitely more money than sense. Makes me sad for the truck. There are people out there driving a shitbox vehicle that take better care of it because they need it, and then you get some Neanderthal douche fluter like this tearing up a brand new truck. His money, he can do what he wants, but I won't contribute views to that kind of pointless waste.
