Baxter Performance spin on filter adaptor

    No not really. The filter wrench stayed in place on the cap after tightening everything back down, but it came free with just a little jiggle from my hand, I’d say the figment is dead on. And I still have the OEM plastic cap.

    I can confirm a similar experience. The filter wrench does fit very tightly, but after torqueing it down, I was able to use an extension (luckily mine didn't break lol) to gently wiggle the filter wrench back and forth without loosening the plastic filter housing, and then the filter wrench popped right off.

    Glad yours worked better than mine! It was a wobble extension I got for free from Harbor Freight after some promotional deal, so I’m not terrible shocked lol.

    I'm fortunate (unfortunate?) to have inherited my late father in law's entire tool cabinet. He was a lifelong heavy machinery mechanic and had amassed a collection of Snap On, USA made Craftsman, MAC etc. tools. I'd break wrenches every time to have him back but I know he'd be happy I'm using them.
