There really wasn’t any pain. In fact my first idea was to take my phone out of my pocket and take that picture. Shock to morphine is actually a pretty smooth ride. It was the rehab that hurt.

Ah haha I’ve nailed my self a couple times framing too haha. Your right, it doesn’t really hurt. I had one of my co workers holding a pair of pliers before our boss told me to go to the hospital instead haha.

I’ve also wiped out through a slippery ladder a couple times. That hurts like hell though haha.

Oh and one time I was shovelling wet heavy snow off a roof in the spring so we could start roofing soon. I was sliding down to the edge of the roof and using the weight of the snow to push myself back up to the top again for another run. One time I just went straight off the end and landed on my feet 14’ down. That’s hurt the most. Couldn’t walk for the rest of the day.

I’m glad I’m not young and dumb anymore.

    Dayum!!! Awesome thread :D

I’ve punched myself in the face before, but never ended up with a black eye! That’s awesome! Lol
    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

My only pic from carnage was years back removing the aftermarket front bumper on my 4runner. I loosened all the bolts and the damn thing wouldn’t come off still.
So my dumb ass got underneath of it with a BFH and pounded a way while laying on my back.
Of course.....the bumper drops, and I attempt to catch it, while it smashed me, completely throwing out my back. My body was in the shape of an “S” and took a year of Chiro trips to fix.

It’s the pic I use now to show how fat and out of shape I used to be lol.

    CF1B0836-C103-46F9-9E14-6864E7F9277E.jpg

The chiro said my left leg was 1.5” longer than my right because of how tweaked my spine was.

So there I was back in Nam'.... behind enemy lines just me and my Tundy.....armed only with my keys... so I climbed in the passenger side to grab somethin' and SOOONOOOFFFAAABEEEEEEEEE I smacked my ankle on the side steps I swear I saw flashes of bright light..My wife comes outside all sympathetic like (read laughing hysterically) to ask me what little girl is screaming all high pitched and finds me in the fetal position crying manly tears. After reconstructive surgery (band aid/neosprin) months of therapy my doc says I could have PTSD from this. True Story No Lie

Doesnt take much height to mess you up. Lucky you didnt blow your back or legs out. o_O
I was laying on the table at my PT place a few months back and heard a familiar voice the next table over, was a dude I used to race with. Huge, fresh scars up both elbows and upper arms and his cheeks. Was on a ladder about 17’ up, wall framing he was on gave and it all went down with him on it, he landed arms and face first and shattered his cheeks, nose, and both arms. Then went into graphic detail about his wife having to wipe his bum for him:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Nothing much from working on my truck surpringly. Bashed knuckles, dust in my eye etc. I did almost end up with a shiner like the OP at work once, but my safety glasses saved me. I was using a pin bar in an attempt to convince two flanges to line up for a stud and figured that pulling with all my weight would hasten negotiations. Well, I gave 'er a heave and the hoe let go. That damn pin bar popped out out, the point banked off my safety glasses and I fell backwards ass over tea kettle, performing a reverse somersault with a bounce right up on to my feet followed by a declaration of "Fuck!!!!". I looked at my coworker who was somewhere between hypoxia and urination due to laughing so hard and he was holding up 9 fingers. Highest score the judges have ever given one of my wipe outs. I was awarded a new pair of safety glasses as mine had a big gouge in them. Not too bad.

Nothing like a little skin melting off. Have only had small burns here and there (woodstove/exhaust) but nothing like the pics. Worst aside from the initial pain and misfiring nerves is the skin being super 'tight' when its healing. (Only way I can describe it..):puke:

Yeah I had 80 some stitches put in my fingers after a circular saw kicked one time and it hurt nowhere near what being burnt felt like.

When I was younger and mowing lawns for my neighbours, I never had anything too serious happen but I would always discover small cuts and scrapes or dried blood on my arms after I finished.

I had to try and get a huge air bubble out of the heater core and the lines. If the motor is not to temp and running there's no way to force the air out. I just won't pull the wrong hose next time. Lol
