DBEDED47-12C2-4707-B965-8C0F8036D6EE.jpg Don’t wanna jinx it but I bought and cried and who cares now... if it dies I’ll get an interstate at Walmart or wherever my shit expensive battery can get me after a jump LOL about to add a hopefully never used winch and maybe a couple of “off-road” lights. I do have an always on 12v outlet for my China fridge in the deleted back seat area. It runs it nicely for a couple of days while camping. Think I’m the first person to post a pic of their installed battery on this thread?

You were... I'll join you with both of my Northstar's on the Tundra. For what it's worth, I'm with you on your consideration of "what if"... if both batteries die and leave me stranded somewhere (since I can forcibly combine them w/ the ML-ACR, even if one is of low voltage), I'll just pop a random 27F (or 24F, or whatever is available) in place of the main battery and continue on my way until I can get it fully sorted out later.

I have an X2 Power 27F now with no issues but I know others haven’t had the same experience. My next AGM will be Odyssey or Interstate.

I had one in my 05 V8 4runner with the diode, 3 years never had an issue. I will get one for the Tundra when the stock one take a crap.

Reason to go 27F over Interstate’s recommendation of 24F? Sorry, I’m a moron and wondering what battery I should upgrade to before a summer road trip... 24F comes up when I punch in my vehicle info.

Stock battery was a 27F and I wanted to stick with it.
Besides, the 24F looked too small in the battery tray..

But now looking at the specs, the 24F has 40 more CCAs...:eek2:

I've owned my truck for 13 yrs and have replaced the battery knly 3 times. The first was a wally world battery......lol......second was Sears Die hard and this last time which was about 2 yrs now is from Costco. Each one of those batteries was under 175 bucks so I can't complain

I bought an X2 AGM about 5 months ago, haven't changed anything with the charging system, I put a charger on it once a month and it always goes to 100% and starts a float charge. I've yet to experience undercharging.

folks, what we’re looking at here is the Leonardo Da Vinci of vehicular electrical providence. I don’t think I’ve seen such a clean, beautiful yet utilitarian application of the human mind ever before.

While I genuinely appreciate the comments, it was a rushed install and I really need to go back and clean it up, all I see is a mess of wires that need to be sleeved/covered/tucked away

    Here's my X2..
I bought my truck Jan 3 2015. The stock battery died on 11/2/17 - installed the X2. It died on 7/31/20 and they replaced it with no drama.

Even with the easy replacement I'm not impressed, it didn't last any longer than the cheap OEM battery.

I doubt I'll be buying another AGM, just cant justify the cost.

My only hope is this thing dies again before 11/2/22 so I get one more free replacement before having to swipe the CC for a replacement.

I’m on my 2nd in my 2016. 63K miles. Do you live in a really mild climate? I get cold winters (-2 this year) and really hot summers (100+ for days on end).

My 2015 is on its original battery. Bought in Minn this time last year and live in Wisconsin. Planning on replacing it before I go up north in May. Right now I’m leaning towards oreily super start agm, (made by Deka) mostly cuz if there’s a problem there’s likely an oreily nearby.

Saw the same chart at my Toyota dealer recently. I am in Florida so I am screwed! Once I am out of warranty I will hit Walmart up for a battery if necessary. LOL

Northstar 27f, they are pricey but like the saying goes "you get what you pay for".

Stopped by Interstate and they said to definitely do 27F if you can fit it. Not sure why 24F comes up on their site then. They also tested my battery and said it was good rather than taking the sale. Great company.

Last I checked there were only 3 companies that made batteries under various names. Am I wrong?

For the vast majority, yes, but they're all made to the rebranded names specs.

Literally just went they this with them.

I was calm and after they said they could not do anything, I had asked them to try again.

the store stood up for me and replaced my $400 AGM. The next day.

they won me back with customer service. Might be rare but they helped me out.

Took my truck in for an alignment today. They put the truck on the battery maintainer/maintenance tester while doing the alignment.
Showed the battery is pretty much shot. Original battery on a 14 with 83k so not too bad. Not done researching battery upgrades so they put in a NAPA Legend for $100 bucks.
I figure out what I want to upgrade to I’ll toss the NAPA in my gate opener.

How is the fitment in the OEM tray? I was thinking of getting a 34-pc1500t. Going to eventually get a dual battery in the bed of the truck. I've heard that you should get matching batteries.
