    Hello

In the official maintenance schedule from Toyota it says in Service #3:

"Perform 12V battery service and comprehensive electrical charging system evaluation".

That's scheduled for year 4-5. Is it marketing speak for "replace your battery"? Or else, what is there to service about it? It's sealed.

    Thanks in advance.

    It's good
Check your cables and terminals for corrosion. Clean as necessary, Check your alternator output. Should be above 14V running. If you have the ability to test the battery, like have it tested for free at a parts store, cool. But if it's asymptomatic and is providing good charge you are fine. Headlights should be bright when not running, The visual inspection at the battery posts and visible cable ends is enough unless it cranks slow or need a jump at times.
