I was just reading that the EverStart Maxx series battery from Wally World is pretty good. I have to get a battery today for the kids car. I would go to Costco but my membership expired lol.

Looks like the comparable Everstart lead acid for a Tundra is ~$150 at Walmart, and I'm guessing that's without core refund, but all totaled maybe $40 more than Costco? Can always stop at a gas station or buy a Costco Shop Card Online lol. I could be wrong, but I believe the Costco Shop card doesn't need to cover the entire total, it just has to be the first form of payment used, and then Costco only accepts Visa if memory serves me right. I know you can buy the Shop cards online though without a Visa, or pay the difference in store with cash.

I just replaced mine with a DieHard from Advanced Auto a couple of weeks back before our trip to Texas. I don't have a Costco near me and Wally World was out. I have had good luck with the DieHard batteries, so I decided on this route. My current battery (almost 4 years old) wasn't giving me issues per se, but we tow and I wanted to make sure I wasn't stranded on the side of the road. I have had quite a few batteries killed by the Texas heat...some within a couple of years (easy replacement under warranty) but still a pain in the rear.

I hope that my DieHard doesn't let me down.

Replaced mine back in June when the dealership ran a sale on the trustarts, $280 for a lifetime battery and being I am keeping my obsolete dinosaur till it is worn out seemed like a small price to pay

Get the best wet cell battery you can get. I run an Interstate MTP 27-F. It lasted 4 years in this triple digit heat. They prorated it recently when it went out. $95 for a brand new replacement

I also noticed that our local Walmart didnt have any group 27F. I needed a battery so I went down to the group 24 eight months ago. Now the weather has turned colder here in Iowa and Im noticing some lag on the first cold start of the day. Im not waiting for -10 . Ordered an AGM group 27F yellow top. Hope it lasts.
PS.....I had a Northstar for 3 years before it too bit the dust.
