I pulled the vent caps on my Toyota Batt. during the 1st week of exploring my truck and saw that the top of the plates were exposed/dry.
Put in about a 1.5pt of distilled water to cover the plates and has been fine for >1yr.

    This is the general idea,

The battery in my 2018 Platinum took a dump at the two year mark and 18k miles. I somehow had to get the truck to the dealership in order for them to warranty said dead battery (as they have to test the charging system and blah blah blah....). But the battery was so screwed that it wouldn't even jump. I too, thought about purchasing an aftermarket battery (possibly NORTHSTAR), but I was pissed about the situation as I felt it should have lasted at least 3 years. Luckily, the dealer towed my vehicle on a flatbed (yeah, I thought it was a little silly to have a tow for a battery replacement), confirmed that the battery bought the farm, and they replaced it with their biggest, and longest warranty TRUSTART battery, free of charge. So far, so good. Get yours replaced by Toyota.

Serious... yeah, it's in the 2019 manual. Sounds stupid for sure.

I dumped the Yota battery at an Interstate store this morning. Installed a new Interstate 27F and the truck started right up.
