Probably won’t see that much. Do it because if at all possible I bring a full uncut tile around the tub deck, and tile down. More better. Everyone is in such a hurry, and wants to use big/heavy tile. No way around it.

That's the stuff I use. Had to take a class back in the day just to buy the tubing and fittings. I tend to leave the pex under the floor and turn up into the wall with copper.

Perhaps I'm a little insane but I like try different things. The rafters are 2x10 so I flare the "tunnel" to allow more light and to better see the redwoods above. The texture is just mud with a coffee can full of 30 mesh sand. I cover the whole surface and allow little imperfections, kinda like what drywallers call "old world". The lid has no color. For the walls I added 1.5 tbs of lamp black and about 8 0z. of blue chalk line chalk.IMG_20180303_185119030 (1).jpg
The window is upcycled. It's an insulated glass unit that I stripped the from off of and recycled. Then I put the IGU into a reclaimed redwood frame. The window sill is an example of the the glued (west epoxy) together lime stone. It's a 7/8" sill glued on, rounded over and polished. IMG_20180303_185055016.jpg
The wall end cap is 3 pcs to wrap around. The window will be trimmed out with pieces glued up.

Thanks! Yes, it flat out works, and cuts prep time dramatically. Not cheap, but it allows me to give a better long term product, and still compete with time frames. I have that damn Wedi goop on all my work clothes.
Very nice. I never wanted to do tile(carpenter), but I was doing bathrooms that were in the 20k+ price point, and the tile installers didn’t come close to performing work at that level. And of course it was my ass, so I do tile.

The slightest of derailments....regarding rough-in valves (shower) is a brizo r6000 the exact same thing as a delta r1000?

EDIT to reflect some interweb research. Not as clearly indicated as one might think.
Brizo is a trim line of delta. Peerless, Delta, Brizo. (Good, Better, Best)
They are essentially the exact same, but the tub and shower set I selected specifies a Delta 10000-UNBX.

I could tell you if I had them both in my hand. But I have seen quite a few rebranded valves out there.

I looked it up Brizo is the same as Delta i’m pretty sure. It sounded like they just have different trim options but the same guts.
