We're going to Bald Mtn. this Sunday, 7/19. Please confirm if you're going. This trail has a few technical spots and because of the time it takes to spot eachother through, I would like to keep the number of trucks around 12 or less. This is NOT an Easy trail. A lift, bigger wheels, sliders and skids are all highly recommended and you'll likely be dragging your hitch. You may get through without some of these but you'll be risking some damage. Full size spare is required. Nerf bars or steps will almost definitely get smashed.

    For the guys coming from the south... @Rica25 @Kdogg77 @Sunnier @Natron ,

We'll also decide on a few other meet points so we can caravan down together. We'll decide after we know who's going.

We will likely start the trail at around 11am. Be there by 10:30!! Please don’t be late.

Bring your own drinks, snacks and lunches. We will have lunch at the Peak, but that likely won't be until late afternoon, so plan accordingly.

You'll also need a radio. If you don't have one, let me know and one of the guys can probably lend you one.

We'll see what happens this week. Only thing I can really see happening is them closing down the trail. But I don't think that'll happen unless another Shelter In Place order is made. As of now it only looks like indoor businesses are being shutdown.

I am working on a solution before Sunday. I see a ton of trucks with 20’s on trails, mud, rocks...what’s the difference with this one? I have been talking with Joon and he said the same.

I understand the basics, not being able to air down, less sidewall to a 20”...

Yep. Need to drive much more cautiously and more slowly. There may be a lot of 20s on the trails these days, doesn't mean they know what they're doing and it's certainly not the best choice for off road adventuring. Bald has a lot of harsh, sharp edged pot holes and ledges. Doesn't mean it can't be done with 20s just exponentially increases the chance of a flat tire. I would keep my tools/jack close at hand and not buried beneath a bunch of stuff. Haha, heck I keep 'em close at hand anyhow. I hate it when I get a flat and I've got everyone standing around waiting for me in the hot sun.:anonymous:

@831Tun I was planning on Meeting @Trdwillie14 in Los Gatos at 6:45. Can meet you in SC or there, we can text and figure it out. @Team Leader @joonbug just to make things clear, Billy is going to be joining in my truck this trip. So 1 less truck on the trail than you were planning for if anyone is on the Pending list.

@joonbug hi sorry for the late response. Got my fronts last week but I’m still waiting on a rear end so running stock for a little while longer. Sounds like this ones a bit above my abilities for now but shouldn’t be much longer :fingerscrossed:.
Have fun guys! And keep me in mind for the next one

@Sunnier @831Tun and I are going up on Saturday and camping. So we’ll meet you guys at the trailhead on Sunday morning.

Anyone want to camp with us, let me know.

We might not have cell service so here’s a final review of the game plan.

@Kdogg77 and @Rica25 we’ll see you there at the trailhead at 10:30.

@SIXSEVENONE and @sr5shark meet at Dublin.

Then meet up with @GodlessPro and @SC_TRD in Madera at 9am.
