With the resonator, it's perfect. Deep, slightly noticeable sound at that speed. No drone.

If you are going to be towing Keith usually recommends the 10" as it is quieter. I ordered one, and it's louder than stock, but not at all obnoxious. I hate the trucks that you can here on the highway a mile over from your house. In one of the other DD threads I copied a video of a stock to 10" comparison. It was perfect because it was recorded on decent equipment so you get a good comparison. If I find it again I will tag you and update this post.

Edit: As promised @Doxiedad here is the link to the video. I recommend headphones to get proper clarity. https://www.tundras.com/posts/1497310

More speed is quieter if the truck is in 6th gear.

No difference at higher speeds for me. My daily commute speed is 70-80mph. Usually set cruise at 77. I’m running 33’s so I’m in a slightly lower RPM range than stock. But I bet it’s negligible. 8” is absolutely perfect in my opinion.

Put my deposit on an 8” system yesterday. Keith takes the time to make sure you get the right system. Can’t wait to bolt it on!

I went 6" w resonator. I want to hear the v8. I have a Borla muffler now and it's slightly louder than stock. The resonator will even out the tone even more.

He’s a good dude that knows his shit, if your unsure of what you want he’ll break it down for you. I just ordered an 8” setup, reason being so I can still have business conversations while driving and hear my foot when I want to.

Keith, looking for your expert advice.... one of the Fireman I work with has your dual budget long dumped on his 2008 CrewMax. I’m looking to do a similar exhaust on my 2020 CrewMax. What’s the difference between the Dual Budget Dumped and Standard Dumped? Sound difference? Performance changes?

You lucky dog! I talked to Keith a few days ago and wanted to get the bam tip, but he’s not taking any more orders right now for that :(

However, I will be placing my order for the 8” system on Monday, I’m pretty stoked about it.

Does the aluminized finish hold up as well as the stainless? I really want to take advantage of this deal. That's not a small price difference between the 2 (stainless vs. aluminized).

I think all his finished products are painted with a high temp black paint, so it should hold up rather well. The issue we have up here in the NE is salt brine from winter roads. I HAVE to get stainless or it wont last. Not sure of the weather conditions where you live. IMO, since the OE exhaust pipes are stainless, I'd stick with stainless.

but please, by all means, jump on this GB, we all benefit :)

DONT MESS WITH MY DISCOUNT! lol

Your best bet is going to be to call Keith and talk to him about your wants/needs. I do know that if you plan on towing you'll likely be pointed to the 10" system, if not then the 8" might be for you. By all accounts, his resonators kill the drone regardless of which system it's on. I cannot personally make that assertion, because I haven't installed the resonator on my 10" system. I hear the drone, but it's not bad enough to bother me yet.

Without a resonator the 10" isn't any louder than the engine itself in cab. It almost makes me wish I had done the 8" system. If I find a good in cab video I will link it.

https://youtu.be/Lh6V3EyqX2E?t=167 This is about the best I've seen. I think I got the time stamp where he turns onto a road and gets up to about 40, and a couple minutes later he gets it up to 50-55, I think. According to the comments on the vid, this is also without a resonator.

Here is another from the same guy, but don't know if the resonator is on it. Not the greatest audio qualify, but with headphones it gives you an idea.
