Keith says right in the exhaust install video that that specific section of the resonator is designed to be tight so it wasn't sliding around during install

Anyone running the resonator with a 35” spare? I have been planning on getting one fitted (35” spare) but feel the resonator will get fitted first.

Just wanted to say that after a few hundred miles on the DD 6", I am very happy. It's only gotten better with time. Its loud, but not obnoxious and sounds mean in beast mode.

Do you all think that if I went with the 10” system, I wouldn’t need a resonator? Just looking to get a little bit noise than stock. I don’t tow anything.

Another thing is, can you just buy the muffler and have a shop install it?

I wondered the same thing - your first point.

The TRD exhaust uses 2 26x6 mufflers in a dual setup with no resonators. The only thing I found annoying about the TRD exhaust was the helicopter sound at crusing (due to the divorced dual setup) - not the actual volume or drone level. Is there a single outlet standard setup with whatever length mufflers that would be similar to the TRD without the use of resonators.

This is my experience and hopefully someone can corroborate what I say here. I got the 10" system installed and had a little amount of drone without the resonator. I think the main reason for the drone is I'm on 295/70/18 tires so my engine has more load on it when starting up (which is when I experience the drone). After putting on the resonator it's night/day difference, no drone whatsoever at any RPM range. I figure if you're running a smaller tire size you may not need the resonator at all.

Side note, the system was a little louder than I anticipated but honestly it's really grown on me and I wouldn't go back.

Thank you for your input. Was hoping to find a way to cut the cost down a bit but it’s probably not worth it if there is gonna be any sort of drone.

I bought the standard budget system. I love it. I haven't installed the resonator and dont plan on it. I was actually thinking it would be louder but it's not as loud as I thought. I hear my tires over the exhaust cruising at 65. But I'm also sitting on 37x12.5x17 MT's so if you were running not that aggressive of a tire and and the rpms were lower from not pulling the heavier tires I would think you could hear the exhaust over the tires. But for me it's great.

That’s probably not gonna work here in the great state of Maine come inspection time.

    I'm here in Maine, bro.

I ordered the Straight pipe standard budget system and just had Keith put some fake mufflers on them for Visual inspection.

Also, Maine law says you you are exempt from having mufflers if you can prove your vehicle is under 95 decibels.

Curious to hear form the other 50 people and their impressions on their set up. I posted videos a few pages back. I like my 8 inch a lot but have to say imo it's much louder than I expected. Still not sure if it would be the best choice for long distance driving. I am experiencing some drone as well and plan on installing the resonator at a later time.

I got pulled over years ago for a loud exhaust and the cop told me to go to the state trooper barracks to get a decibel reading. I went there and they told me they didn’t do that so I just forgot about it. I’m guessing with the noise decibel apps you can download now to the iPhone, you can get a good idea of how loud the exhaust is.

FedEx decided to deliver mine to some random address about a mile from my house. Luckily the person saw my number on the package and gave me a call. But seriously, what the hell FedEx?

Got mine installed today (8")! It sounds great! Quieter than I expected from all the reviews. Definitely would agree its quiet when you want it to be but, it certainly wakes up when you give some throttle. Not bad at all on the highway. I rolled the window down and could barely hear it over the wind noise at 65. Didn't notice any drone but, I'm curious how it sounds after living with it for a week or so. Overall, I'm very glad I went with the 8". Nice beefy sound without being obnoxious.

I did not. I wanted to put some miles on first to see if it is necessary. I didn't notice any drone today but I've only put about 10 miles on so far.

Installed my 8” system tonight (no resonator). I love it — Keith and his crew are geniuses. Way less drone at highway speeds than the Magnaflow I had previously. Give it a little throttle and it sounds mean. Thanks @dirtydeeds!

I made my final payment last Friday and got my system yesterday. I live in AZ so shipping time was pretty short (Dirty Deeds is in CA).

Alright guys. A little follow up with all the craziness released into the world since this sale has released.

every single aluminized steel system due was supposed to ship tomorrow. Our welder went home early today and didn’t finish up like 3 systems. Everything else should ship with the last 3 shipping early next week.

in the mean time we have a week of odd ball systems scheduled and a week of standard stainless stuff scheduled. I have two crews (1 man per crew) working those 2 schedules.

theres 9 stainless orders from this GB That are late. Halls orders are at varying stages of completion. What’s important is that they’re started and just need welded, painted, packed and shipped.

    to summarize:

ALL aluminized due from this GB ships tomorrow or early next week.

Any ss left over may ship end of next week, but will ship end of the following week for sure.

thank you everybody for your patience during this insane time!!
