The 10 inch is usually recommended for towing, so a 12 should be even less of an issue.

    Never towed with it.

I did trade up for the 8 inch, and in hindsight wished I stayed with the 12. The 8 sounded awesome, but was too much for the amount of driving I do. I never felt the 12 was too loud. If it is, best bet is to stay stock.

No experience with the 10” system.

The Bam 6” is the sweetest sounding exhaust out there hands down imo. Sounds amazing when you want to hear it and zero drone when cruising. Anything quieter is prob not worth the $ to make the change.

I have the 10 inch and installed it first without resonator, had great sound but had a little drone. Then added resonator and its perfect. The cold start ups are loud so keep that in mind with neighbors.

I think a 12” would be close to stock. My 10” without the resonator is quieter than I was thinking.

I spoke with Keith Friday. Told him I wanted a TRD pro equivalent. No louder. He recommended the standard 10” system. Said it will have more sound on the throttle and quieter on the highway. He also claimed more bottom end. Hope this helps

Maybe dumb question. But if I put the resonator on and then decide later that I want to go back to stock exhaust, what do I do about the hole? If you put the resonator on, it seems like this is a one way trip. Thanks!

Keith sells a cover plate that will go over the hole.
It mounts on with the same hardware/u-bolts used for the res I believe..

10 inch Standard SS.. Haven’t put the resonator on and won’t..happy with it as is! I’m 50, we all know they sound bad ass!! Keith said if you tow much go with the 10inch. Better throttle response, and you will feel the torque increase. Ask him about dual or single out? He won’t steer you wrong..

Trust me there is no way you will want to take the resonator off. I have the 10 inch BAM system, I originally installed the system without it. There is considerable drone in the cab without it. After about a month I put it on, and just like that the drone disappeared. But the amazing sound of the exhaust tone was still there.

I had the budget system but swapped it out for a 10” after some neighbors complaining about the start up at 5 in the morning getting out to work. I do miss the budget system raw sound but I love the 10” and have been really happy with DD customer service. Keith is the man!

I tried the 12”, then the 14” and Keith made me a 20” to see how I liked it while towing. The 20” sounds awesome. It was on my 2019 CrewMax. I think it sounds a lot like the TRD Duals, just a tad bit quieter. If you do a lot of towing, I think you will like the 20” better than the more common 6” or 8” systems that Dirty Deeds is known for. Plus you pick up the sought after increase in low end torque.
