Drove around all day today , highway and side streets . Mileage has gone to shit because I can’t keep my foot out of the throttle !
I’m not installing the resonator. It’s too damn aggressive!
I let my son drive for a while today and he still is grinning.
Seriously, this is the best mod I’ve doe so far.

Guess I’m gonna have to ride around for a week or two without the resonator. I thought the primary function was to eliminate drone? Does it affect the sound/tone as well?

I cant speak to the drone elimination factor , i'm sure Keith would say it will eliminate the drone at a certain RPM range.
If you want to meet up somewhere near PDX let me know, Im out in Hillsboro during the week for work. I really like the aggressive sound through the throttle range.
I have a 1969 Mach1 with a 351 Windsor engine , headers and straight piped so a nice aggressive roar is what i am used to.

Oh yeah it does! Mine just showed up about an hour ago as well.

Quick question. The gasket that comes with it goes between the straight pipes and the factory tailpipe correct? If I install it and later pull off the tailpipe to paint it, would I need to replace that gasket again? Trying to determine if I need to plan to do it all at once.

Other guys will chime in, but I think you’ll be fine. Especially with such a new model.

When I put my 8” on my ‘18, it only had like 5k miles, and my stick gasket was still good.

When we put the 6” on my brother in law’s ‘12, his gasket just unraveled...

I’m pretty sure Keith points out in the video that they say the gaskets are one time use, but he’s used many of them multiple times...

Or you can always buy a new gasket for dirt cheap.

But yes, paint the exhaust pipe!!

Yes, that’s where the gasket goes. Not sure how it will hold up as my original one fell apart and I have just over 10k miles on. The truck.

Perfect, only 2k miles on the truck so I will just use the factory one until I do my tailpipe. Thanks for the info guys!

Am I the only one who rolls the windows down, throws on tow haul and listens to the lovely roar on their way to work?

Part of me wishes it was louder

It’s not much. I made a quick video with my iPhone. Put on your headphones! All videos is with driver and passenger window rolled down.

Budget Dump system. Cold start and some mix driving. It can get pretty loud during acceleration but it’s quiet once you are up to speed and just cruising. Drone is very minimal believe it or not for being straight pipes.

    Thanks @dirtydeeds !

    Clean truck!

You’re a better man than I, running that budget dumped. I like the resonator placement though.

Oh yeah here’s a side by side next to my 8” standard exhaust.

For those that will ask the Dump is a lot louder! But weirdly enough it doesn’t drone.

    <<<UPDATE>>>
OK , Went out to the coast for Independence Day celebrations.
I have to admit , around town and under 65 MPH , i love the system as is without the resonator.
Over 70 MPH , its skull rattling.
That being the case , i just installed the resonator and now i feel like i lost the roar. Its quieter , absolutely , but i feel like that deep scary get the FCK outta the way roar is gone.
Im not complaining , i love the system in both configurations. Im just adding my opinion of what my experience is so far.
So , if you want the V-muthatruckin'-8 rumble at all times , i would say leave the resonator off.
If you want an mellowed aggressive sound , the resonator is for you.

If anyone wants a budget dump that didn’t get on the gb lmk. I think I’m going to stick with my 8” standard. It’s still on my truck if you want to go for a ride in it. Local sale only. Don’t feel like shipping this thing.
