    edited miss read your post.
if you're mounting it in the hood bulge I'd wire it to your switch pro, running the wires thru the hood and out down by the hood hinge on the driver side.
similar to the wiring for the nsv, then tap the running lights in your headlight to power the accessory lights in the s8.

Wish I could help on routing the wires. Unfortunately I haven't been around a Tundra with this setup in a little bit. SDHQ might have some instructions available to help :)

The switch pros will make it very easy to wire the backlight once you get access. Run the green wire from the S8 directly to the desired lead on the switch pros and you'll be set. You can always skip the switch pros and use an add-a-fuse to the under hood fuse box. Some prefer this because the backlight can activate with the DRLs.

Show us a pic when you get this done. I'm curious how the S8 is going to look in there. I almost went this way before finding the NSV.

check out my posts earlier in this thread, there are pics. I ordered both and ended up with the s8- far better light output, changeable lenses, less of a pain in the butt to wire in and I didn't want anymore white led running lights on my truck- the headlights do enough for me personally!

    @Baja Designs

My plug and play kit plugs but does not play.

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Plugged into factory harness, Black to blue, red to white/black stripe.
    872E7E96-075B-46A8-A560-F5E524C46F87.jpg
Am I supposed to do anything with all this crap?:
    D6E775EF-A6E0-448A-8907-CF7F38ECFAD3.jpg

I plugged factory fogs back in and they work properly, neither squadron pro I received will turn on. I hate and know nothing about wiring so sorry if I am doing something simple and obvious that is wrong. I have read thru the ‘instructions’ several times and looked thru @MotoTundra diy install thread and cannot figure out where I am going wrong...

Sorry! More than likely we accidentally sent you adapters with reversed polarity. We have two options for the H10 connector and yours are the Ford ones. Please Contact Us tomorrow once we are open. Happy to send out the correct parts!

Will do and thanks for your write up.

Man this is like opening a Christmas present and it’s an empty box...

Especially since last week I ordered caliraised sideshooters and ditch light brackets and it turns out they do not fit 2nd gens. So now I have all these bad ass lights just sitting here and I can’t use them. Lmao. :angrygirl:

    First world problems I guess.

    Spoke to tech support.

    Not pissed, but am disappointed that even tho I spent the money on a high quality plug and play kit, my options are to;

    A) send back entire kit for them to troubleshoot

    B) they can send me another kit which may or may not have the same issue since they are not here to troubleshoot exactly what the problem is

    C) I can troubleshoot on my own

I understand things happen and everyone has been nice and about as helpful as they can be given the situation...

But I Guess I am spending my day off doing this... Otw to harbor freight to buy some elictrician man tools??:notsure::facepalm:

Is your headlight stalk switched to high beams or something goofy like that? If you plug in your factory fogs again do they still work?

    Is your fuse good?

I would imagine the lights aren't the problem. What are the chances that both don't work?

Yea the stock switch is on the high beam/blinker switch.

The stock fogs work properly and the squadrons work when connected directly to the battery...
    44A7E499-C94F-4DB4-B6C6-F8D7C937FA0B.jpg

Guessing there must be a problem with the pigtails? Not sure if wires need to be reversed or how likely there are loose connections on both pigtails...

Massive migraine and too much other crap to do. Will work at it later...

I am not a technician but I think reversing the wires will do the trick if those are the correct connectors. Are they the same shape? Do they click in?

I just spoke with Jason regarding this. We'd like to give you option D) ... The plan is to send you QTY: 2 (unpinned H10) adapters. The weatherpack connector will be removed from the pins. Once you confirm polarity you can slide the weatherpack connector over the pins. From there everything will plug right in as it should have.

All we need is a proof of purchase for our records, and we'll get the correct parts out. My apologies about any confusion.

    Thank you for the responses.

Honestly if I knew more about electrical I wouldn’t have even bothered you guys about it, I would have just fixed it as I am pretty certain it is just a small problem that is keeping them from working as they should.

I should have time tomorrow to try and wrap it up. There is an extra set of connectors that came with the kit so my plan is to test power and reverse the wires with the new connectors. If this doesn’t work or I will reach out to you guys for option D.

    I appreciate the help.

Holy freaking crap, the output pics do not do these things justice. I am really happy with spending the extra money for quality lights.
