They freakin rock! BD LIGHTS are nothing short of great. This thread is full of great info.

The XLs are cannons. I don’t have them due to money restraints but all of the squadrons and S2s are still a good bit of light depending on what you’re trying to accomplish.

Don’t forget that you can buy one setup then buy all the different lenses for around $14/ea to find the right combo for your needs. Just another reason that BD are the best!

Hey D, Just an FYI. I really like the spots (squad sport) on the pillar. I have the wide cornering (squad sports) in the bumper. The wides are pointed down considerably and I can get away with 'em on the street. I plan to aim ''em up a little when we go to Death Valley. The BD lights are expensive if you look at the ebay crap but this is one of those things where the performance exceeds expectations and makes it worth it. Both times I've ordered from BD the shipping has been REALLY fast. Just my .02.

The Driving/Combo is a nice all-in-one pattern. Like stated above, these patterns can easily be changed if you're not happy or just want to fine-tune your setup. This is thanks to our uService technology. More details can be found here:

Hey Thanks Warren! I have the wide cornering in amber down in the fogs, got rid of the Rigid SAE. looking to do the A pilar and not do a light bar. Do the spots shine any bit of light to the sides? I guess I could adjust them so that they are not so focused to center to give a bit of light to the sides... You and Joon are doing some work! I like it!

You know D, the truth is, it's a pretty focused beam. Even so, if they're pointed just a couple degrees from straight ahead, I think they'd provide the light you want. They're nothing like side shooters but I've tried 'em driving up the dark, windy mountain road to my house and they work really well.

So Bailey, its as simple as swapping the lens to change the beam pattern... If I buy the Squadron Pros in spot and want to try the combo pattern, I just change the lens?

Correct! Purchase a Squadron Series Combo Lens Kit to easily change the pattern from Spot to Driving/Combo.

    AVAILABLE NOW !!!

The XL80 Work/Scene light puts out a show stopping 9,500 lumens. Ideal for illuminating work spaces, camp sites, and anything in between, the XL80 work/scene outputs an extremely smooth 120° circle that projects well past the 400ft mark while providing usable light throughout a minimum of 250ft. As this is not a distance oriented pattern, it is not suitable for driving. Similar to the rest of the premium members of the XL series, the XL80 offers an optional 20% dimming feature. As always, Baja Designs offers a 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee, and Limited Lifetime Warranty.

See anything different about the XL80 Work/Scene?

The XL80 Work/Scene is offered with its own specific bracket that is designed to provide maximum adjustability. This minor change gives you a major increase in usable light.

Need some opinions from the Tundras.com crew. Going to be adding a few more lights using an Nfab light bar from @ToyTec Lifts , but I'm having problems deciding which route to go:

    Option A)
    OnX6 30" Hi-Power
    Nfab Multi-Mount system

    Option B)
    QTY: 4 LP9s
Nfab Light Bar w/ 4 tabs

A will be a little bit cleaner while B will have more output and a more aggressive look.

    hmmm

Really love the amber back lit pods. Also you have the option to point in different direction for more light spread.

It bolts to the frame horns with a bracket that slides through the OEM bumper openings. Attached are the instructions

Option B. All the lumens! Are you going to take them off when not in use? I like the light bar idea but would be worried someone is going to walk off with my fancy lights

Except most thieves just use a cordless cutoff wheel and cut the brackets - at least that is how my buddies got lifted. Sucks we have to worry about things like that

I've been thinking about buying an extra 'female' end to whatever light(s) I get and mounting it somewhere out of the way under the hood. Remove the lights when not in use and plug the harness into the receptacle under the hood. Losing $$$ lights would not be my idea of fun.

Thankfully I live in a good neighborhood where the crime rate is very low. Very slim chance of someone walking into the garage with power tools and going to town. Only concern is when I'm not parked at home or visiting a not-so-nice area. Not going to worry too much until I actually get the lights.
