I’m totally getting these. Amazing light quality over stock. Love that they make an SAE version now.

I wouldn't say their SAE lights really compete with the other market offerings.

Personally sad how they went about "fixing" their first attempt on the SAE light.

so if I’m looking for an SAE version would you say the Diode Dynamics SS3 would be a better option? Not looking to shell out the funds on the Rigids.

FWIW I’m happy with my BD SAE fogs. The internal plate doesn’t bother me and the output is excellent for a street legal fog light.

Are the SS3 pros to bright for daily use? I know they are SAE, but I’m looking at the white ones, not amber.

Their original design was non-compliant. Their fix was to install a plate behind the lense. I believe, up to now even, that plate is how they sell their SAE lights.

FWIW, this is the 3rd party that found the issue IIRC:

^^ very good read for those shopping SAE lights as well. Pretty much a comparison of everything available.

If you’re not in a rush, Black Friday is right around the corner. I’m sure the pros will be even a better value then. Even the ss3 propers are worthwhile.

I just installed the Squadron Sport fog light kit on my 14 Tundra last week. It was SUpER easy and didn't even require pulling the plastics out of the wheel well. The entire assembly pops right out of the front (on the 14's at least).

I went with the driving combo/clear lens and HOLY SH** are they bright!! In fact, they're too bright to have on in traffic...way too bright. Get a clear stretch of road and I can see elk, deer, moose, voles, skunks, earthworms a mile away!

Mate up quality with the existing plastic housing is, meh, but the kit is easy peasy (20 mins) with a 14. Also, the instructions are a MF mess of a joke so don't even bother. There are a couple decent youtube vids and, once you get into it, it makes sense pretty quick.

    Cheers.
