In my opinion, yes. I treat them like I would high beams, but these make me smile.

With oncoming traffic, yes. We don't recommend using these with oncoming traffic.

Just opened up my kit and have the same issue.
Pic below of what was in the kit (on left) v a few M6 I picked up at the local Ace that I think are the right ones. 1D68D4C6-9AA9-4A26-A6F2-8DA84FE76DCD.jpg

You wouldn't need that shoulder on there but it shouldn't matter since they have to go through the brackets and the washer.

Here is what I had. They wouldn't even clear the brackets.

As long as you got M6x1 they are the right thread. I did use a little locktite since it looks like thats what was on the included hardware.

Edit: Ignore my wife's huge ass bottle of wine... its cold out there and we needed space in the fridge:rofl:

So to be sure I'm not waiting for the wrong reason...
    • With these I can use with "on coming traffic"comfortably, am I understanding that correctly by them being stamped SAE? I need them for the snow and pretty much never have my fogs off.
    • Will they be available in the amber colorway?
    • Do you have a more precise pricing set at what you will charge for the SAE now so it doesn't burn a hole in my pocket from my truck budget? LOL
    • I imagine that there will be "previews" available shortly? Will they look similar to the others? Sorry for the overload...
Lastly, please take my money already. LOL

    No worries!

    - The SAE approved beam is designed to be able to be used on the street with oncoming traffic. It will be considered street-friendly where most of our lights are not.
    - As of now, we are planning for White and Amber.
    - $279.95 or $289.95 for the pair is the goal. Those aren't set in stone. We are trying to keep it under $300 for the pair (save $300 to be safe)
    - Working on getting the first articles finalized before going to production. Once everything is approved by product development and engineering, our marketing team will take some night shots

    Thanks for the additional details.
Any more info on an exchange or retrofit program for those with existing Squadrons? I just got mine and would have waited if I had known the SAE version was coming out this soon.
No issues with removing them from the truck and sending them in except it leaves me with 2 holes bumper. ;)

No updates at this time on the upgrade program. I'll hopefully have another SAE update in the next 2-4 weeks.
Keep an eye on this thread for more updates

I wanted these lights but I use my fogs all the time. I guess I'll have to find another alternative for a single led. Drats!

An SAE approved version is on the way, so I'd hold out for those.

@Degausser is correct! SAE Approved Lighting coming SOON. This will be a great street-friendly option for those that want to use their fogs all of the time

K I'll wait until they make them. I will install a set of auxbeam in the meantime. Another forum member is using them and had good results.

The plan is to offer them towards the end of this quarter (working on the details but sometime Feb or March)

More details on the specifications will be posted as we get closer to the release. This will include wattage, amps, lumens, build, etc. :)

    Stay tuned...
