Need to support my travels somehow :D

Most of my work is remote and can be done anywhere with LTE or WiFi. I'll occasionally have to be somewhere for meetings, networking, or if I'm doing stuff on the side.

Fruita would be sweet! I'm not exactly sure when I can get over there

I'll most likely be headed to Moab after Overland Expo West in May. I'll know more in the next couple of weeks

As she currently sits, I can hit 15mpg highway when cruising 60mph over relatively flat terrain. I averaged 15mpg on my trip from San Francisco to San Diego. I typically average 13mpg and it drops down closer to 11 if I'm stuck in the city.

The trick is to keep it 65mph or 60mph on the highway and avoid stomping the gas. 60mph is the sweet spot from what I've found. Mountain passes and high headwinds usually kill all chances at reasonable MPGs

It doesn't swing away. It does fold down towards the ground.

Entry into the camper isn't ideal. I'll probably pull the bike off and lock it to one of my wheels when I'm camped

That is a sweet build! Lots of $$$ for that truck & camper combo.

I paid the same for my Truck and Camper as they did for their camper alone (excluding my mods/additions). That camper is probably $33-34k with the options they have.

    Wild.

If fuel wasn't so expensive I'd drive back now and come back to SoCal in June.

this post says they financed it and treat the loan like 'rent'. seems the anti-thesis of the #vanlife crowd. i know how hard it is to make a living as a 'creative' these days so i find it interesting. especially, if you're freelance/contract. wish i was smart enough to understand the social media world...

it also doesn't look like they've got a whole of up travel in the rear.

Makes me curious what their monthly expenses look like. I'm making payments on my camper but it wasn't anywhere near the price of theirs.

It's crazy to see what people are doing with social media these days. I love it but also hate it at times. Deep down there is a part of me that wishes I could disconnect from it completely

If I could afford it I'd go for the "shell" version with the furnace upgrade, jack stands, driver side window, and DIY the other goodies.

The shell version would be fun to upgrade stuff. You have had a lot of goodies added to yours. Quite nicely by the way Bailey!

    Yet...

They have been making nice changes recently with the addition of more colors and different fabric options. The new owners seem to know what people want. Maybe by 2021, a flatbed shell will be available? We can dream :D

Feels so great to have the mountain bike with me on my travels. 1 mile with the pup and 3 miles solo this morning. Temps aren't so bad in the high desert
